FBI Director Kash Patel has reported significant progress in the bureau’s efforts to combat online child sexual exploitation, announcing the takedown of approximately three million pedophile accounts on the Tor network, the arrest of 3,400 child predators and traffickers, and the rescue or location of 7,200 children.
In a recent Fox News interview, Patel detailed the results, describing them as a 99 per cent increase over the best year under the previous Biden administration. “We didn’t just do the physical work on the streets,” Patel said. “We went to the cyber community and we dismantled three million pedophile accounts off the Tor network where these predators prey on our children and think they can hide from this FBI. They can’t.”
He highlighted the rescue of “7,200 kids that we found that got to go home” and the arrests of “3,400 child predators and traffickers,” emphasizing the historic scale of the operations.
