Isn’t it funny that, the more we yatter endlessly about mental health, the worse our collective mental health gets? The more politicians assure us everything is fine, the worse things too obviously are. And the more the Multicult bleat about ‘social cohesion’ and ‘harmony’, the more fractured, hostile and violently tribal our once cohesive society becomes.
As Pauline Hanson has pointed out, the end game of mass immigration and Multiculturalism is on display for all with eyes to see in France, not to mention wider Europe and Britain.
Countries like France, Germany, Belgium and the UK are all suffering because of mass migration.
Unless Australia stops importing people who reject our democracy, our way of life and the values of Western civilisation, these riots will eventually be coming to Australian cities.
Meanwhile, Globalist par excellence French President Emmanuel Macron is bewildered that, having imported the whirlwind of African and Muslim hate, his country is now reaping it. “How can French people do this to France?” Macron splutters with wide-eyed innocence.
The obvious answer, which nobody is allowed to say, is that it’s not French people: it’s violent invaders who just happen to occupy France. But then, even when the Nazis invaded and occupied France, they left it mostly intact. The new invaders want to burn down the whole lot.
Meanwhile, despite Hanson’s Cassandra-like warning, our lot are falling over themselves to fan the fires at home. And, just as unconvincingly as Macron’s professed bewilderment, they are braying at the top of their lungs about ‘harmony’ and ‘inclusion’, even as they’re pouring millions of taxpayers’ money into promoting violent tribalism.
It’s a curious feature of our modern managerial class that they view the very concept of a nation as a tiresome administrative nuisance to be dismantled, rather than a community to be protected. Where once we possessed a sturdy, unspoken social compact born of shared history and common decency, we are now subjected to the suffocating embrace of the state.
Today, a not-insignificant portion of the government’s budget goes to manufacturing social cohesion, creating a vast multicultural industry heavily dependent on handouts.
Indeed, the bureaucrats have decided that harmony is not the natural byproduct of a shared culture, but a project requiring relentless intervention. Minister Anne Aly, apparently convinced that the Australian people are incapable of speaking to one another without state-funded interpreters, has been busy ensuring our taxes go toward keeping our various tribes in their own linguistic silos. It is quite a spectacle to watch ministers wax lyrical about ‘connection’ while effectively financing the Balkanisation of the suburbs.
We might better judge Aly, of course, by her own results: she made her career posing as a ‘de-radicalisation expert’, while providing character references for the Muslim terrorist whom she’d conspicuously not de-radicalised. Then again, Aly herself apparently considers it a badge of pride that her father took part in the interminable Islamic attempts to wipe out the Jewish state.
The prime minister, a man who treats the nation as if it were a poorly managed community centre where the only KPI is how much it benefits himself, seems genuinely puzzled that his constant talk of ‘cohesion’ has resulted in precisely the opposite. His solution, naturally, is to throw more money at the problem – specifically, money that taxpayers have toiled for – directed toward groups that have no particular interest in integrating into the historic Australian way of life.
The federal government has quietly committed $171.3m to a multicultural program that builds ethnic enclaves rather than social cohesion.
You don’t need to be a forensic accountant to grasp the stench of this particular arrangement. These grants, often dispensed with the quiet stealth of a cat burglar, are not designed to foster a grand, unified Australian spirit. They are intended to provide the infrastructure for ethnic compounds. We’re not talking about local festivals or communal cook-offs: we are talking about the literal construction of walls and segregated facilities, all paid for by a working population that is increasingly being treated as a redundant ATM.
Consider the United Muslim Association, currently blessed with 11 million of our dollars for an ‘infrastructure’ project in Padstow. While the government plays dumb about the specifics, the association itself makes no secret of its mission to act as an insular, totalising system. A state-funded, single-faith gymnasium is, by any sane estimation, the antithesis of inclusion. Yet, to the ruling class, this is progress. They prefer a fragmented society of government-dependent interest groups over a cohesive nation of citizens, because a fractured population is so much easier to bribe with its own money.
At the same time the money flows to various ethnic lobbies, there is the conspicuous absence of any attempt to prioritise the actual interests of the historic Australian population. If one were to suggest that such funds might be better spent on, say, infrastructure for the descendants of those who built this country, the outcry would be deafening. The hypocrisy is so thick you could carve it with a machete.
We are witnessing the systematic liquidation of our national character, and our leaders are billing us for the privilege of watching it happen.
