It’s long past time to update Mr Bumble’s famous observation: the law is no longer just an ass, it’s a dick. Or, to mash up our fictional wisdoms with some Team America, it’s “dicks, pussies and assholes, Chuck”.
Because when it comes to fetishistic male predators weaponising the law against women, it’s dicks, pussies and assholes, all the way down. Women, especially lesbian women, are having to fight long and gruelling court cases to keep creepy men from slithering into their formerly private spaces. Whether it’s middle-aged men waving their dicks in teenage girls’ change rooms, fugly men with mutilated Frankenpussies demanding pregnancy testing, or paedophile assholes chasing an all-you-can-rape buffet of literally captive women in prison, women are having to fight multiple legal battles to keep their hard-won sex-based rights.
In Australia, female entrepreneur Sall Grover is still fighting a years-long legal grind to keep blokes who look like bulldogs in wigs out of her women-only app. And lesbian groups are being dragged through the courts by male fetishists who are being enabled by government-appointed Karens.
A long-running legal battle over whether a lesbian group can exclude transgender women from its events has made its way to the Federal Court.
The Lesbian Action Group (LAG) is appealing a decision by the Human Rights Commission, which ruled it could not legally exclude transgender women.
Men, they mean. Men.
The Victorian-based LAG says it subscribes to the philosophy of lesbian feminism and does not believe humans can change sex.
In other words, it subscribes to fundamental biological reality. But, they’re having to reckon with the cretinism of unelected bureaucrats who can’t even say what a woman is.
It wishes to hold public political and social events exclusively for “lesbian-born females” that would exclude all males irrespective of whether they identify as women.
The group requires an exemption to do this in order to avoid breaching the Sex Discrimination Act, which makes it unlawful to exclude someone on the basis of gender identity.
The LAG was denied a five-year exemption in 2023, when it applied to the Human Rights Commission.
It then lodged an appeal to the Administrative Review Tribunal, which found “overt acts of discrimination” should not be allowed and the exemption could have a detrimental impact on trans women.
That is like arguing that banning paedophiles from schools will have a detrimental impact on the kiddy-fiddlers. No doubt true, but… who cares?
Common sense, though, doesn’t come cheap.
The group has now appealed to the Federal Court after running a crowdfunding campaign that raised close to $40,000, with donations made by people from around the world.
It’s all a bit like those flouncing queens who sue bakers to force them to bake their wedding cake: why on Earth do these men insist on barging their way into where they’re clearly not wanted?
Counsel Leigh Howard said there was “no human right to be invited to the party” and that the exemption should be granted on the same basis that female-only gyms were given exemptions.
Co-counsel Megan Blake said the Sex Discrimination Act should be interpreted in a way that gave biological women priority over trans women.
How many nonsense-phrases can the legacy media cram into one sentence? ‘Biological women’ is a tautology. ‘Trans women’ is an oxymoron. As Orwell pointed out, when we’re forced to talk nonsense, we end up thinking nonsensical thoughts.
Even without the legal exemption, the LAG can still exclude trans women from private gatherings, but LAG spokesperson Nicole Mowbray said public events were necessary in order to attract new members.
In other words, lesbians are being forced back into the closet. All those decades of fighting for gay liberation was for nothing.
