Get Woke, Go Broke: Doctor Who’s Turn

Immortal time traveller finally killed by wokeism.

Not even the Doctor is safe from Wokeism. The Good Oil. Photoshop by Lushington Brady.

The ability of the left to deny what’s right in their faces is almost impressive. Confronted with a hulking behemoth with a massive bulge in the front of his miniskirt, they will insist it’s a woman. As they (literally) scream helplessly at the sky and post endless social media videos vowing to kill public figures they don’t like, they insist that it’s the right who are in a violent cult.

And they insist that ‘Get Woke, Go Broke’ is a right-wing fantasy, despite one company, institution or entertainment franchise after another doing exactly that. Like Star Wars and Indiana Jones before it, Doctor Who went woke and is going broke. All while the left deny it’s even happening.

Doctor Who is reportedly facing the axe, while lead actor Ncuti Gatwa is thought to be on the verge of quitting.

The long-running sci-fi show has suffered a huge drop in ratings of late, with fans said to be fed up of the injection of woke storylines.

Continuing the leftist denial of reality, the undeniably African Gatwa is described as ‘Scottish’. Which is like saying that Rudyard Kipling was Indian. Tell the same people Elon Musk is African, they lose their minds.

But self-described ‘queer’ Gatwa is just the latest in a string of dreadful choices for Doctor Who. And he knows it.

A source told The Sun: ‘Ncuti doesn’t want to be tied to the series beyond this and plans to relocate to Los Angeles with several Hollywood projects standing by for him.

‘His team also see a lot of fan backlash from the series, and don’t want the perception of him still being The Doctor to get in the way of any future work.’

I’m sure there’s about as many Hollywood projects ‘standing by for him’ as there were for Harry and Meghan.

But the problems with Doctor Who go far beyond ridiculous casting choices.

‘The show has been poorly managed in recent years and there’s a lot of people who’ve been working on this show for years and now being cast aside due to poor leadership.’

The insider added that people had warned that the episodes were becoming ‘too caught up on an agenda’ rather than focusing ‘telling a story’, with those people apparently being ‘shouted down’ and ‘ignored.’

Officially, producers are denying that the show is being shelved. Sure, Jan.

Insiders have told the publication that eyebrows were raised about the show after a mysterious edit was made to Graham Norton’s BBC One chat show.

During the latest episode, The Sex Education actor revealed he would be filming the third series of Doctor Who next year.

But the comment was edited out when the episode of the chat show was aired.

If the rumours are true, it’ll be the most venerable entertainment franchise to die at the hand of wokeism yet.

Doctor Who has been produced by the BBC since 1963 and when it was first released, was intended to be a regular weekly programme aired on Saturday evenings.

It originally ran for 26 seasons from November 23, 1963 to December 6, 1989, it was intended to be an educational show for family viewing to teach its younger audience about history as the Doctor travelled through time with its companions, a history and science teacher.

‘Its’? There’s your problem, right there.
