Getting Patted on the Head like the Obedient Lapdog He Is

Albanese goes crawling to the communist dictatorship.

Albanese ‘being held up by Xi Jinping’. The Good Oil. Photoshop by Lushington Brady.

Now, maybe it’s just me, but having praise heaped on you by a brutal communist dictatorship is not exactly a badge of honour. But, for Australia’s socialist PM, it’s one he wants to wear with pride.

Like the nasty little hanger-on toady who trails behind the bully, sucking up and stroking his ego, Albanese is basking in the small achievement of being the bully’s pet.

Anthony Albanese says his meetings with Chinese leaders on Tuesday were “really constructive” and that the treatment he received was a “sign of respect” to Australia.

“The fact that President Xi didn’t just have a meeting, but we had a lunch where President Xi as well invited (fiancée) Jodie to attend that lunch, it was a sign of respect to Australia, to our country,” the prime minister said, standing on a portion of the Great Wall of China.

The same “respect” that China displayed when it summarily banned our exports, in a fit of pique at even the mildest truth-telling during Covid? The same “respect” China shows, when it sails a fleet of warships right along our coast as a blunt warning?

The same “respect” China shows, when it threatens to do it again, any time it likes?

Xi Jinping has told Anthony Albanese his naval forces will conduct exercises wherever they want in international waters as the prime minister called for more notice of PLA-Navy drills near Australia and urged the Chinese president not to invade Taiwan.

This is the bully warning the weedy little toady not to get too above himself.

China’s Premier Li Qiang has repeatedly pressed Anthony Albanese to treat Chinese companies in a “fair, open and non-discriminatory” manner as state media confirmed that Beijing remains troubled by the Prime Minister’s commitment to end Chinese ownership of the Port of Darwin.

President Xi Jinping did not raise the Port of Darwin in his meeting or lunch with the Prime Minister, but in subsequent meetings on Tuesday his top adviser twice raised China’s concerns about Australia’s treatment of Chinese firms.

“We hope that the Australian side can provide a fair, open, and non discriminatory business environment for Chinese enterprises in Australia,” Mr Li said, during his first meeting with Mr Albanese in the Great Hall of the People late on Tuesday.

Unlike the mean, unfair and discriminatory business environment China metes out to whomsoever it feels like.

While he’s busy strapping on the kneepads for his audience with his Dear Leader, Albanese is either too stupid or too mendacious to realise that he’s being played like the tiny little fiddle that he is.

Anthony Albanese is being held up by Xi Jinping as a model Western leader, playing a bit part in China’s global effort to be seen as a reasonable alternative to Donald Trump […]

The subtext? ‘Australia shows us respect, unlike the US. If countries want to get along with China and reap the economic rewards, behave like Albanese.’

In other words, be a crawling, craven little shit, or the communist dictatorship will come down on you like a ton of bricks.

At least Vidkun Quisling knew just what he was doing: Albanese is too pathetic to even have that poor excuse for his treachery.
