As the great Australian journalist Jack Marx once wrote, it’s high time we admitted to ourselves that being a ‘victim’ doesn’t make anyone an expert, let alone a decent person. Case in point: Adolf Hitler was brutally abused as a child by his monstrous father. Clearly, being the victim of childhood abuse did not make Hitler a good or admirable person. Nor did it excuse his vicious anti-Semitism.
Then there’s the ever-more odious Grace Tame.
No doubt Ms Tame also suffered traumatic abuse as a youngster – but that doesn’t change that, as an adult, she is a nasty, vicious, ideologically demented cry-bully. Her childish, mean-girl behaviour was ill-mannered and unsuited enough to someone lavished with media attention and taxpayer-funded awards when she was just scowling her way through public ceremonies like a petulant brat who didn’t get the lollipop. It’s only got worse since, illustrating just how misguided the contemporary obsession with canonising ‘victims’ really is.
Last month, it was Tame inciting a hostile crowd to anti-Jewish violence, with an anti-Semitic chant. Despite calls for her to be stripped of her Australian of the Year award, which many others have had happen for far less egregious behaviour, Tame remained apparently untouchable behind her Victim Card.
Now, the supposed advocate for rape victims is furiously refusing to ‘believe all women’. Her ‘tireless advocacy for victims of rape’ stops short when the victims are Jewish.
In an interview with ABC radio, Ms Tame dismissed corroborated reports Israeli women were raped and sexually abused by Hamas terrorists during the October 7, 2023, attack as “propaganda”.
The Former Australian of the Year, appearing on ABC Radio Sydney with host Hamish Macdonald on Monday, said claims about abuse of Israeli women during the massacre “have been debunked”.
That is a complete and utter lie. The photos, videos, victim testimony, gloating boasts of the rapists and mountains of forensic evidence are so undeniable that even the corrupt, complicit United Nations has had to admit its truth.
The UN Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict had found there were reasonable grounds to believe conflict-related sexual violence occurred during the attacks.
But when it comes to the vicious anti-Semitism of the Pallywankers, “reasonable” doesn’t come into it.
Even an ABC luvvy couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
Macdonald noted the UN Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict had found there were reasonable grounds to believe conflict-related sexual violence occurred during the attacks. “Are you saying that that is propaganda?” he asked.
Accused of being “selective in her outrage”, Ms Tame said violence had been committed by both sides in the conflict.
And she had the barefaced cheek to deny that this is whataboutism.
Tame has proven herself beyond disgusting. What else can you say about the sort of low-grade scumbag who would watch the gut-wrenching video of teenaged Naama Levy, the back of her pants soaked with blood from the brutal rapes she had endured, dragged by gun-toting rapist murderers into a waiting car, where her Achilles’ tendons would be cut to stop her escaping – and decide, “I’m on the side of those men”?
This is utterly reprehensible.
After Ms Tame claimed that testimony from Israeli women of horrific sexual abuse at the hands of Hamas terrorists was “propaganda” that had been “debunked”, the Israeli embassy urged her to watch the testimony and educate herself.
“When you find yourself denying documented sexual violence, turning victims into perpetrators, and drawing false moral equivalences just to fit an anti-Israel or anti-Jewish narrative, you’ve lost your moral compass,” the embassy posted on its social media.
You can’t lose what you never had. All Tame has done has shown, beyond all doubt, is how lacking her moral compass ever was. Being a ‘victim’ isn’t a moral compass, it’s a circumstance. What one makes of that circumstance is a moral compass. All Grace Tame has made of herself is a serial piece of shit.
Executive Council of Australian Jewry head of legal Simone Abel said the comments amounted to a denial of the sexual violence perpetrated by Hamas […]
Ms Abel said both the Office of the UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Sexual Violence in Conflict and the UN Commission of Inquiry had recognised Hamas carried out sexual violence, including rape and gang rape.
“But, apparently in the face of clear evidence, Grace refuses to acknowledge what happened,” she said.
Because she is, like all of the Pallywanker cretins, suffering from crippling cognitive dissonance. She can’t possibly cling to a belief that Hamas are ‘freedom fighters’ and acknowledge that they’re brutal mass-murderers and gang-rapists. Both cannot be true. So, in her unforgivable ideological derangement, she simply denies what she knows is absolutely true.
Her own subsequent attempts to dodge show just how conscious she clearly is of her utterly indefensible statements.
Ms Tame, when pressed on whether she had condemned the alleged sexual violence, said attempts to compel activists to condemn particular incidents were often made in bad faith “to try to trip people up”.
“Clearly, I don’t support any of it,” she said.
Macdonald said the allegations being discussed involved serious crimes.
“It’s rape and gang rape. Those are the allegations,” he said.
Except they’re not “allegations”: they’re facts.
Ms Tame responded by referencing her own experience as a survivor of sexual abuse.
That has nothing to do with it. Her Victim Card is too threadbare to hide behind this time.
Grace Tame has utterly disgraced herself and Australia. Every day she is allowed to hang onto her gong only deepens the national shame and complicity in the very anti-Semitism that led to the massacre at Bondi.
