Greenpeace NZ with Professor Jane Kelsey Are Sandbagging New Zealand

Greenpeace NZ, with Professor Jane Kelsey, is sandbagging New Zealand.

Greenpeace NZ, with Professor Jane Kelsey, is sandbagging New Zealand.

What I find deeply troubling is the apparent willingness to say, in effect:

‘We couldn’t persuade the New Zealand Government, so let’s take the argument to Europe and see whether European trade pressure can make them change their mind.’

Before anybody accuses me of exaggerating, look at what Greenpeace itself has said: It wants the risk of losing preferential access to the European market to be used as an incentive for the New Zealand Government to change policy.

New Zealand’s policies should be decided in New Zealand.

That is why I call this an issue of New Zealand sovereignty.

Who do we want deciding the future of New Zealand?

The New Zealand people? Or overseas pressure groups, supported by Greenpeace New Zealand along with a woman known as Professor Jane Kelsey.

For me, there is only one acceptable answer.
