Guess What the US Supreme Court Did

This crazy headless-chicken stuff is playing right into Trump’s hands. He’s got the Democrats completely cornered. They have nowhere to go and no cards to play with.

If the budget that Trump and the Republicans have put forward is not agreed to by the Democrats by midnight Tuesday (Washington DC time), the government will shut down. Here’s what happens next. The Supreme Court has given Trump the means to be the SOLE person in charge. JUST HIM, no one else.

He can do whatever he wants. He can fire as many government employees as he likes, permanently. He can close down as many government offices as he wants, permanently. He can get rid of all the NGOs, the sort of outfits people like Soros is involved in, permanently. Shutting down a third of the federal government saves $200 billion a month. A large slice of the Democrat voter base, 740,000 government workers, would be gone. Trump can keep this situation in play for as long as he wants.

What this all means is the Democrats are between a rock and a hard place. The moderates are being pushed by the hard left in the party to fight Trump. By the hard left I mean the likes of George Soros, who largely funds the party. To that end they have come up with a laundry list of demands they know Republicans will not accept. If they decide to try and bargain with Trump, he will probably make more demands like wanting voter ID and compulsory voter registration. The deep state is being obliterated. The Democrats themselves, as a viable party, are under threat.

If the government shuts down you can bet Trump will be in the Oval Office at one minute past midnight on Wednesday morning to start the ball rolling. Therefore a government shutdown is unlikely but the Democrats and the left are now beyond desperate. This is why you are seeing the violence in America and why Trump is sending federal troops into states (all Democrat-run) where violence is out of control.

There are shootings at churches and churches are being set on fire: it is risky to attend church now unless armed guards are in attendance. One of the podcasters I listen to, who attends a Catholic Church, wouldn’t go if armed guards weren’t there. It is too dangerous. And all this violence is coming from the radical left.

This is how desperate the left has become: aiming to cause chaos and mayhem in society and things are likely to get worse before they get better. Trump has labelled Antifa a domestic terrorist organisation and sent federal troops to Portland in Oregon, where their main base is, to sort them out. Rather than support this course of action, the Democrats are supporting Antifa and making sure they know their rights.

This crazy headless-chicken stuff is playing right into Trump’s hands. He’s got the Democrats completely cornered. They have nowhere to go and no cards to play with. Whichever way they turn, they are done; hence their desperation. Meanwhile Trump is getting on with other things like meeting Netanyahu to try to end the war in the Middle East. The world is watching a real leader at work.

England’s predicament has been managed and self-inflicted. Britain chose a path that prioritized symbolic commitments and distributional narratives over growth, affordability, and territorial cohesion.
