What’s interesting – and frustrating for many Hobson Pledge supporters – is how major parties treat Hobson’s Pledge’s influence as invisible.

Despite representing what could easily be described as the ‘silent majority’, few politicians are willing to openly align with its positions.

This hesitation stems largely from fear of media backlash, being labelled racist or alienating Māori voters and corporate sponsors that value ‘partnership’ narratives.
