Honour Killings on the Rise

Three guesses who’s doing it.

Import the Third World, goes the saying, become the Third World. Nowhere is that truer than when it comes to importing the Islamic Third World. As former head of the UK’s Equality and Human Rights Commission Trevor Phillips admits, Muslims, unlike previous immigrants to the West, show little inclination to assimilate to local customs and norms.

This isn’t just catastrophic for Western women and girls, the overwhelming targets in spiralling rates of rape and assault perpetrated mostly by Muslim men. For young Muslim women in the West, it’s seeing them become the all-too-frequent targets of so-called ‘honour killings’. Especially if they try to demur from another common Muslim practice: cousin marriage.

A court in Italy upheld the life sentences of Pakistani parents who were found guilty of killing their 18-year-old daughter because she refused an arranged marriage with her older cousin. The body of the girl named Saman Abbas was discovered buried in a farmhouse near her father’s office back in 2022.

The authorities found the body 18 months after she was first reported to be missing. After a thorough investigation, it was discovered that the young woman was murdered by her family, and since her neck was broken, the investigators believed that she died by strangulation.

She was murdered by her own parents, uncle and cousin, all of whom fled to other countries.

The Abbas family moved to northern Italy from Pakistan when Saman was 14. The court filings stated that her family was deeply angered when she quickly adapted to “Western culture”. According to The Associated Press, she chose not to wear a head covering and posted photos of kissing her boyfriend in the streets.

She reportedly told her boyfriend that she was afraid for her life because she refused her parents’ demand to marry her older cousin back in Pakistan.

In Australia, too, Muslim families will gang up to murder their own children. Astonishingly, courts and police are all-too prepared to go easy on them.

Prosecutors have dropped attempted murder charges against family members of a young Muslim woman who was held down and stabbed for dating a man of a different faith.

The 21-year-old woman suffered a perforated kidney, lacerated liver and significant internal bleeding as a result of being stabbed repeatedly in the abdomen with a large kitchen knife in November 2021.

Prosecutors previously alleged her family members worked together to track her down and helped to hold her down as her father stabbed her in a suburban Adelaide shopping centre car park.

Where in any of that is it not attempted murder?

The court has previously heard that at the age of 17, the victim had an arranged marriage to her cousin in northern Pakistan.

Prosecutors alleged that the young woman's family disapproved of her Christian boyfriend, who she met at university, and sought to punish her for bringing shame on the family […]

Prosecutors have now dropped all attempted murder charges and accepted guilty pleas to alternative, lesser charges.

The victim’s father pleaded guilty to an aggravated charge of causing serious harm, while the other family members pleaded guilty to a non-aggravated charge of causing harm with intent.

At this rate, it’ll be a wonder if police don’t charge the victim.

Predictably, Islamophile apologists try to claim that honour killing ‘isn’t Islamic’. It just coincidentally happens in extraordinary rates in Muslim countries.

Journalist, feminist, and human rights defender, Rana Husseini broke the silence and exposed the shame of Jordan when she unveiled the common but unspoken crime of honor killings there […]

Honor killings accounted for one-third of the murders of women in Jordan in 1999. Husseini wrote a series of reports on the killings and launched a campaign to stop them. As a result, she has been threatened and accused of being anti-Islam.

But, sure, tell us again that it’s Nothing To Do With Islam™.
