I do not know how the rest of those who supported NZ First feel about this latest flip flop.
One of the main reasons NZ First had support at the polls last year was their stance on having some honesty and direction from this ever-screaming and whining Māori by putting a stop to the lies that Māori have woven into their Treaty of Waitangi agreements over recent years.
The ACT Party stood strong on their proposed bill to define the position of the Treaty as it sits in law and prevent it from being used by the radical judiciary to abuse it and overuse this outdated document.
Winston Peters and New Zealand First backing off from supporting the ACT Party’s treaty bill might be a strategic decision, albeit a risky one.
Peters is known for his careful positioning on sensitive issues, especially those related to the Treaty of Waitangi, which holds significant cultural and political weight in New Zealand.
