Dear Editor,
Hi, my name is Benjamin and I am twelve years old.
I am writing this letter to say that, unlike my peers, I’m excited about climate change.
Why? Well, I’ve always wanted to live on a farm and I also want to visit Antarctica. So I’m thinking: surely by the time I’m 30 Antarctica would have thawed out enough to be suitable for farming.
So when that happens I’d like to build a boat, load it with animals (Cows, Sheep, Pigs, Chickens, Horses and more) and seeds, and then set sail!
OK, I’ll admit there are probably a few flaws in my plan but I have about 18 more years to fix them.
So many people of my age seem to be panicking about climate change but I believe that God has everything sorted and that, instead of panicking, we should be thinking about how we can adapt to changes in available land.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
– Jeremiah 29:11 ESV
Regards,
Benjamin.
