National spokesperson for transport Simeon Brown is calling out Transport Minister Michael Wood on the state of New Zealand roads: in particular the potholes.
Kiwis are sick and tired of all the potholes peppering New Zealand’s roads, which are damaging vehicles and causing havoc for motorists. We’re hearing from people every day who say the roads are the worst they’ve ever seen them.
He’s launched a petition and encourages Kiwis to send in photos from their roads, for a “Pothole of the Week” campaign.
Each week, we will highlight the worst pothole, with the aim of getting the government to sort the issue.
He adds, “it goes without saying that people should only take photos of potholes if and when it is safe to do so”.
Last Friday, Wood blamed National for the current state of roads.
