It’s Okay to Be Racist If You’re Coloured

It’s okay to be racist if you’re coloured because people are victimised by aggressors who are apparently usually white people. Representative for Minnesota, Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar, should be regretting a 2018 interview that recently resurfaced.

“She said: ‘I would say our country should be more fearful of white men across our country because they are actually causing most of the deaths within this country.

‘And so if fear was the driving force of policies to keep America safe — Americans safe inside of this country — we should be profiling, monitoring, and creating policies to fight the radicalization of white men.

Hmm. Did white men cause most of the deaths in the US in 2018? Racial profiling is frowned upon and although some records are kept on the victim’s race, I could find no statistics on the race of US perpetrators.

Omar sits on her little political perch of privilege stirring the pot of racial discord with this blatantly racist comment.

“This isn’t the first time Omar has been criticized for making controversial statements on extremism.

In April, she was slammed for describing the September 11 attacks as ‘some people did something’

She made the comment at a recent speech at the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).

Omar called for an end to discrimination against Muslims, before adding: ‘CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.’”

Trump has Omar in his sights, singling her out for mention during his recent political rally in North Carolina this month.

“He said: ‘Omar minimized the Sept. 11 attacks on our homeland, saying ”some people did something”.

”’Some people did something?” Yeah, some people did something, alright. She pleaded for compassion for ISIS recruits attempting to join the terrorist organization. She was looking for compassion.’”

Omar plays fast and loose with Donald Trump because she believes the support from her constituency will protect her.

At a street fair that stretched through the heart of Minneapolis over the weekend, Omar could make it only a few steps before one constituent approached her, and then another. They wanted selfies and hugs, but mostly they wanted to tell her one thing: “We’re so proud of you.”

And “Keep fighting.”

Omar walked past booths that called to “abolish ICE,” decried police brutality, played folk music, and sold elote, barbecue, and mangoes on a stick. She joined a game of street soccer hosted by a club for young immigrants — most of them Somali, like Omar.

In front of a van for MAD DADS, a group founded by black fathers to combat drugs and gang violence, a man hailed Omar as “one of the greatest ladies in the nation.”

“You belong right here, baby!” he called after her.

She and the rest of “the squad”, the other three Democrat women who have divided the Republicans and attacked Nancy Pelosi, are losing popularity within the party.

Even among Democrats, the political classes in Minnesota and Washington have become frustrated, at times, with Omar, who they say has betrayed inexperience and disorganization, and alienated some potential allies in the first months of her congressional term. She was widely criticized earlier this year for comments that many considered anti-Semitic. She later apologized.

Strange indeed that divisive, racist Omar believes she can add value to the American people.
