Christopher Luxon has almost said the right thing when looking at how New Zealand has fared over the past three years. In an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald, he told them, “I do feel we’ve played a very fearful, a very negative, a very inward game over the last few years.”
What he failed to mention was just who was responsible for all of that fear, negative and inwards-looking game: Jacinda Ardern.
Christopher Luxon worries New Zealand has become fearful, inward, and negative over the past few years – and now our trading relationships have suffered as a result.
The National Party leader has been visiting Singapore, Ireland, and the United Kingdom on a policy-finding mission ahead of next year’s election.
In an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald while in London, Luxon said he hopes the impact of this inward mindset on trading relationships is only temporary.
“I do feel we’ve played a very fearful, a very negative, a very inward game over the last few years,” he told the outlet.
“We get rich by doing business around the world, not by selling things to each other in New Zealand.”
The Sydney Morning Herald claimed it was New Zealand’s COVID-19 border closures and rules that made the country become inward, but Luxon clarified on Tuesday that his comments had nothing to do with Aotearoa’s pandemic restrictions.
“My remarks were, generally, around a policy exchange speech I gave around saying that I want New Zealand to rediscover its confidence, ambition, and aspiration,” he said.
“I do think we’ve become too internal, too inward, too fearful over the past few years. It wasn’t about COVID remarks in particular.”

And there we see that Luxon is unwilling, or unable to hit the person responsible for all that. There is only one person responsible: Jacinda Ardern.
She has led the rush to become a hermit kingdom and scared the crap out of the population so badly that they still hanker for lockdowns and restrictions while the rest of the world is just getting on with life.
We are now reaping the whirlwind caused by policy settings enacted on the abject fear of a quivering and timid woman who is afraid of her own shadow.
Jacinda Ardern is pathologically frightened of a virus, so she has kept policies and settings that were never fit for purpose, and has kept them in place for far longer than necessary.
She has said that we won’t be going in to red settings any time soon, but her own Government departments, like WINZ and ACC, are telling their staff to get ready for red and working from home within the next 24 days.
Ardern said that it was misinformation when people claimed we were going into lockdown and that we should believe only her and her ministers as the ‘one source of truth’.
Two days after she said that, we were in lockdown. She’s been busted before, so why on earth would we believe her lying lips when the evidence is before us that they are not only planning more red settings, but they are ramping up the fear porn to scare you all some more.
While Christopher Luxon is too timid to sheet home the blame, there is in reality only one person to blame for playing a very fearful, a very negative, a very inward game over the past few years, and that is Jacinda Ardern.
She has pushed her phobias and fears and irrational panic attacks onto us all, and sadly most in the country have succumbed to the feverish fantasies of a leader woefully out of her depth.
Even today they are still pushing masks and boosters when it is obvious to even Blind Freddy that both masks and boosters have failed.
Our media are complicit in driving fear while ignoring the truth, that the vaccines have caused more harm than good.
We know this to be true, because just like what happened in the UK when the statistics showed the politicians’ lies up, the statistics just disappeared.

Coincidence? Perhaps. But after many months of regularly updating and displaying this information for the public’s benefit, the timing of this deletion is undoubtedly curious. Just when they want to ramp up the fear porn and get you back rolling up your sleeves.
They want you injecting the booster, but have removed the statistics that should tell you to be very wary of contemplating that:
So we will continue to have a very fearful, very negative, very inwards focus as long as our timid scaredy-cat of a Prime Minister continues to quiver in a corner and continues to refuse to pull on her big girl’s pull-ups.
It’s just a pity we don’t actually have an opposition leader who is prepared to lay the blame where it deservedly lies: with the Prime Minister.
