Lefties Lose It with Election Violence

Nosey nanna goes the biff.

Mongo hugs a violent lefty. The Good Oil. Photoshop by Lushington Brady.

If you’ve ever wondered just what kind of person supports Australia’s taxpayer-funded far-left propaganda wing, oops, national broadcaster, just picture the most tilty-headed bien-pensant lefty, Guardian-reading, wealthy uber-Boomer imaginable. The sort of person who rushed to be the first on their leafy, inner-suburban block to own a Tesla, and the first to sell it in shame. The sort of person who wants to welcome ‘refugees’ by the million, but wouldn’t have one living within a mile of their multimillion-dollar Ponsonby bungalow they bought for a song in the ’80s.

OK. So, now you can picture exactly the sort of greying tilty-heads who’d throng a campaign event for multimillionaire Teal MP Monique ‘Mongo’ Ryan, in one of the richest suburbs of Melbourne.

A figure in Melbourne’s far-right scene has crashed a candidates forum in the seat of Kooyong, leading to a confrontation with members of the audience.

A volunteer group which advocates for the ABC held the forum at the Kew Library, in Melbourne’s southeast on Wednesday night.

Matt Trihey wandered into the library with a cameraman in tow, and began yelling about immigration and crime.

“How dare you do this,” a member of the audience shouted.
“How dare they do this to our country,” Mr Trihey replied.

Being leftists, of course, their first resort is violence.

After two minutes of yelling, which the audience returned, a woman walked up and tried to punch him in the face […]

Police were called. A spokesperson told NewsWire three men had reportedly disrupted the meeting.

Let’s hope the bigoted old bat was charged with assault.

Meanwhile, it seems the mainstream media is feeling more than a mite threatened by independent media.

Most of the incident was posted online by an ‘independent journalist’, who was filming as they walked into the meeting with Mr Trihey. This ‘journalist’ has 28,000 followers on X, and mostly posts articles focusing on the ethnicities of criminals in Australia.

In other words, telling Australians the truths that the MSM desperately try and keep under wraps.

Meanwhile, in other election news, yet another Labor China lapdog yaps and dances for its master.

ALP president Wayne Swan has dismissed the coalition’s plans to raise defence expenditure to 2.5 per cent of GDP by the end of the decade, arguing the additional spend is not needed.

Not if we’re going to continue to leave the country wide open for the communist giant to do as it pleases.

On Wednesday, Peter Dutton unveiled the opposition’s $21bn defence funding boost, which will be paid for by repealing Labor’s income tax cuts, consigning households to higher taxes via bracket creep.

Well, sooner or later, we’re going to have to get real and shoulder the burden of protecting our nation, because successive governments have let our defence deteriorate to the point that we’re less well-defended than we were in 1914 – right before a global war that no one at the time seriously anticipated. Now, with a global war increasingly on the cards, we’re not just undefended, we’re ruled by gutless Quislings who are busily selling the nation to the Nazi Germany of the 21st century.

Wayne Swan has “belled the cat” on Labor’s views on defence spending, Peter Dutton has claimed, after the ex-ALP treasurer and CBus chair said the additional spend proposed by the Coalition was “not needed” […]

“It is needed and it is a window into the true discussion behind the scenes in Labor, they do not support our defence budget, they do not support the men and women in uniform by pulling $80bn dollars out of defence,” Mr Dutton said.

This is the sort of adult conversation we need to have, but no one wants to.

In a democracy, it’s said, voters get the government they deserve; if so, what have we done to deserve the Albanese government, given its stark litany of failure?

In the two years to last June, real wages shrank 2.1 per cent; average mortgage repayments are still up by more than $20,000 a year since May 2022; and electricity prices have risen 30 per cent. Even the government’s own budget papers state that, but for federal and state subsidies, power prices would be 45 per cent higher.

So why return a liar to the Lodge; why reward failure with re-election?

To gauge just how reflexively and repeatedly Anthony Albanese lies, just remember that he flatly denies that he fell off a stage in Cessnock. Don’t believe your lyin’ eyes, trust him: he’s ‘a man of his word’.
