The UK government is seriously considering banning knives with, not just points, but even sharp edges (I kid you not). The Victorian government has banned machetes. All this in response to a wave of stabbings and hackings, which is very much treating the symptom rather than the cause.
Where has all this come from, after all? Does anyone ever recall hearing about rampaging, machete-wielding gangs hacking people’s arms off in shopping centres until just a few years ago? Does anyone wonder why the faces on the CCTV footage are invariably blurred?
To stop us from noticing.
Noticing that this is very much an imported problem. Imported from the same continent where machetes even adorn national flags. For exactly the reason you’re thinking: their ubiquity as weapons. It turns out that importing cultures where hacking into people is commonplace has consequences.
The United States is also discovering the consequences of importing hyper-violent ‘traditional’ cultures.
Oh look, another American’s been beheaded by a Mexican.
This week’s beheader is Jose Luis Mendoza-Gonzalez, an illegal alien who, according to the Department of Homeland Security, decapitated 37-year-old Megan Bos, then stashed her body in a bleach storage container. Arrested for the crime in April, Mendoza-Gonzalez was promptly released from custody by Illinois judge Randie Bruno, who is the same physical type – chubby, short-haired, white woman – as the Milwaukee judge charged with helping an illegal sneak out of her courtroom to avoid ICE agents.
As is their standard modus operandi for anything that runs contrary to their dogmas, for instance trannies preying on women and girls, the left simply deny that it even happens.
Remember the hilarity that greeted Gov Jan Brewer back in 2010 for talking about cartels leaving beheaded bodies in the Arizona desert?
The left exploded in angry indignation, with mocking cartoons, parodies, fact-checks and blistering headlines in newspapers around the country.
You’d think she’d accused Mexicans of something totally preposterous, like dominating the Nobel Prizes in physics.
In case these loons were unaware, traditional Mexican culture was steeped in the most appalling violence. Ritual decapitation and cutting out still-beating hearts were the high points of Mexican culture. Until the conquistadors came and put a stop to it, flaying alive was not a Teotihuacan disco hit, but the Mexican equivalent of going to church on Sunday.
Mexico’s brutal drug cartels are just keeping the old ways alive, donchaknow. White Americans might play dress-ups at Ren fairs, but the cartels are strictly hardcore when it comes to traditional ways.
Drug cartels have expanded the repertoire to include corpse desecration, burning people alive, strewing body parts on highways, rolling heads across dance floors, dissolving bodies in acid and hanging mutilated bodies from bridges.
Yet, while the Washington Post and Politifact were assiduously lying through their arses, the heads kept piling up.
Earlier in 2010, Arizona rancher J David Lowell brought Utah Rep Rob Bishop to an area of his property used by drug smugglers to show the congressman where they’d recently found a human head […]
Then, a few months after Brewer was turned into a national punchline – because what could be more absurd than the descendants of Aztecs beheading anyone? – four illegal aliens from Mexico lopped off the head of a guy in a Phoenix suburb.
Local police told the East Valley Tribune, “I don’t think there’s anyone in law enforcement along the southwest border surprised at this type of heinous crime, and that it might be cartel-related.”
Ha, who needs police to tell us anything about crime on-the-ground: like they’d know. The media have experts, clear the other side of the country from the border, to tell us all not to believe our lyin’ eyes.
George Grayson, “a Mexico expert at the College of William & Mary” – in nearby Williamsburg, Virginia – assured readers that “cartel killings in the US are rare.”
Then an American in South Padre Island, Texas, was decapitated.
Again, law enforcement authorities were not surprised. “We’re just across the border from Matamoros,” the sheriff explained. The fact that the head was missing, he said, proved it was a cartel. “They take revenge that way.”
In 2018, cartel members beheaded a grandmother and her special needs granddaughter – in Alabama. And again, readers were informed: “Cartel Beheadings Are Rare.”
Remember: no matter how much you hate the media, you don’t hate them enough.
