Back in the day, Daniel Ellsberg was a hero of the media-left, for leaking the Pentagon Papers, which showed that the US government was systematically lying to the American people about the war in Vietnam. But that was a war that the media-left hated.
Fifty years later, the media-left are utterly gung-ho for war. So, when another insider leaks another batch of Pentagon Papers showing that the US government has been systematically lying about the war the left-media are in love with, the media go on a feral attack.
Their first recourse was, once again, to lie through their teeth.
Russia or pro-Russian elements are likely behind the leak of several classified U.S. military documents posted on social media that offer a partial, month-old snapshot of the war in Ukraine, three U.S. officials told Reuters on Friday, while the Justice Department said separately it was probing the leak.

Note the unnamed “officials”. They’ve tried this one on for the last five years: making up lies and attributing them to “unnamed sources”.
They’ve also tried on the gambit of lying that the inconvenient truth is “Russian disinformation”. But, just like Hunter Biden’s laptop, the leaked intelligence is 100% genuine.
So, they resort to attacking the leaker.
A Massachusetts Air National Guard member was arrested Thursday in connection with the disclosure of highly classified military documents about the Ukraine war and other top national security issues, an alarming breach that has raised fresh questions about America’s ability to safeguard its most sensitive secrets.
The guardsman, an IT specialist identified as 21-year-old Jack Teixeira, was taken into custody without incident after FBI officers converged on his Massachusetts home.

The New York Times continued its reputation for truth and honesty, when it resorted to smearing Teixeira for supposedly “sharing racist memes”.
Note that they won’t talk about the content of the leaked documents? I wonder why…
The documents appear to have been altered to lower the number of casualties suffered by Russian forces […]
One document posted on social media said 16,000 to 17,500 Russian forces had been killed since Russia’s Feb. 24, 2022, invasion of Ukraine.
The United States believes the actual figure is much higher, at around 200,000 Russians killed and wounded, officials have said.

Who are you going to believe? The Pentagon’s secret assessments, or the mainstream media and the government? I mean, they wouldn’t lie and inflate the number of Russian casualties ten-fold? Never!
And they absolutely wouldn’t lie about entangling American troops in a hot war with Russia. Surely not.
It could be President Biden is lying about our role in the Ukraine war much as past presidents lied. Certainly, some of the leaked intelligence suggests the war in Ukraine isn’t going as swimmingly as Biden and his administration have suggested.
“Could be”? How about is?
The fact is many, if not most, of the products shared about the Ukraine war are finished intelligence reports.

And it completely contradicts what the Biden White House and the media are telling the American public.
