Have a wee thought for Chris Hipkins, who seems to be shedding a few tears as he comes to grip with being the feather duster after six years of thinking he was the rooster. Apparently, it’s ‘pretty tough’ to lose their cushy jobs after the voters caned them in the election.
Hipkins said this transition time is “pretty tough” for some people in Labour.
“For many of the people who work in the Beehive, this marks the end of their employment. We’re making sure we’re supporting them in the transition of what happens next.”
But for Hipkins himself: “I’ve still got a bit of fight left in me”.
The Labour Party is reviewing its election campaign strategy to see where it went wrong, Hipkins said.
“We’ll need to take some time to reflect, review, renew, refresh. There’s a lot that we’re proud of, but what are the things we would do differently next time?”
Hipkins said he will be a part of that review.
Stuff
Pretty tough?
Most of them still have a job or they’ll find a new trough to sup at.
What was ‘pretty tough’ was Kiwis losing their jobs, families, careers, businesses and life savings after being mandated out of jobs through Labour’s petty and draconian rules under Covid.
Hipkins was front and centre through the whole thing so he really shouldn’t be surprised when all those people whom he marginalised and ostracised through his decisions and actions kicked his party in the balls at the election.
The crocodile tears are too much for this bunch of useless, gas-lighting, tools.
If you are going to do a review make sure you acknowledge that next time you don’t act like petty tyrants and jack-booted thugs while trampling on our rights and freedoms.
If they can’t acknowledge that then they never will understand why we booted them from office.
