Mexico Is Eager to Please Trump

Suddenly, Mexico is eager to stop illegals and drugs.

Mexico could have stopped this any time. The Good Oil. Photoshop by Lushington Brady.

Not even inaugurated and Trump wins again. No doubt spooked by the Donald’s threat of punishing tariffs, the Mexican president is hastening to promise a crackdown on illegal immigrant ‘caravans’ and fentanyl trafficking.

President-elect Donald Trump said Wednesday that he has received assurances from Mexico’s new president that she will “stop migration” though her country and into the US.

“Just had a wonderful conversation with the new President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“She has agreed to stop Migration through Mexico, and into the United States, effectively closing our Southern Border,” he added.

So called ‘caravans’ of illegal immigrants, often hundreds at a time, started almost immediately after the Biden/Harris election. Having successfully tested the weakness of the new administration, they proceeded to swamp the US border. Ultimately, millions have invaded the US illegally under the watch of Joe Biden and ‘border czar’ Kamala Harris.

Mexico did nothing to stop them.

Until Donald Trump’s thumping election win this November.

The southern border has also been more or less open slather on tidal wave of illegal drugs, chiefly fentanyl, that have wreaked havoc on American communities.

Trump, 78, noted that he and Sheinbaum Pardo also discussed illegal drugs coming into the US from south of the border during their “very productive conversation.”

“We also talked about what can be done to stop the massive drug inflow into the United States, and also, US consumption of these drugs,” he wrote.

“It was a very productive conversation!”

In other words, the Mexican government shit itself.

Trump has vowed to enact the largest deportation in history, starting when he takes the oath of office Jan 20.

Earlier this month, the president-elect confirmed that he would declare a “national emergency” to deport illegal migrants with the help of “military assets” once he steps back into office.

Trump is also expected to reimpose several measures aimed at curbing illegal border-crossings, such as the “Remain in Mexico” policy which during the 45th president’s first term required asylum seekers to wait for their immigration hearings south of the border.

Which will go a long way to cutting out the cynical practice of parents using anchor babies as a means of staying in the US. Trump has also hinted at a Constitutional amendment to put an end to birthright citizenship. The USA is one of the few countries to have such laws.

Sheinbaum Pardo, a 62-year-old scientist and former mayor of Mexico City, became Mexico’s first female president when she was inaugurated in October […]

In a social media post, she confirmed that she informed Trump that migrant caravans racing to the US border “are being taken care of.”

“I had an excellent conversation with President Donald Trump,” Sheinbaum Pardo wrote on X.

“We discussed Mexico’s strategy on the migration phenomenon and I shared that caravans are not arriving at the northern border because they are being taken care of in Mexico.

Sheinbaum Pardo also announced a new collaboration on preventing the trafficking of fentanyl.

Why the sudden change of heart?

Trump announced earlier this week that he planned to slap a 25% tariff on Mexican imports to get the country to crack down on illegal immigration and drug smuggling.

Canada and China would also be hit with 25% and 10% tariffs, respectively, as part of the executive order, Trump said.

Judging by the finger-wagging comments from the Chinese ambassador to the CCP’s lapdog in Australia, the Albanese government, the CCP is also plainly worried.

Good.
