Paul Barber from Tax Justice was interviewed by RNZ and he made the extraordinary claim that most New Zealanders support a Capital Gains Tax
He claimed that polls supported his claim but I have seen no polls that support his claim. He then went on to claim that it was all about “fairness”.
Well to be fair I think we should conduct our own poll to see how much of what Barber claimed is fact based and how much is an assumption that everyone outside his bubble thinks the same as him.
