For all their blatherskite about ‘speaking truth to power’, it’s beyond obvious that for years the legacy media have spouted lies for power. Because they’re paid to. Legacy media today is little more than paid propaganda for the global elite.

An alarming paper trail has revealed that American taxpayers have been handing millions of dollars over to “news” outlets Politico and the New York Times to push leftist, anti-Trump propaganda. The tax dollars have been secretly funneled into the outlets via US federal government agencies. The funding was exposed after staffers at Politico revealed on Tuesday that their paychecks hadn’t been received.
Politico told employees their paychecks were delayed due to a “technical error” which supposedly caused a “payroll issue.”
As independent journalist Tim Pool noted, this in itself is nothing unusual. Companies, including media, have payroll glitches all the time. But, Pool continued, this one prompted sleuths to search the USA Spending web portal. Lo and behold…
According to the government spending tracker website USASPENDING.gov, Politico received up to $27 million (and by some counts $32 million) from various US agencies during the Biden years.
Notably, Politico laundered the anti-Trump “51 intel officials” propaganda regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop during the 2020 election […]
Listed under a “disaster emergency fund,” over half a million dollars was paid from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to Politico for 37 “Politico pro subscriptions”.
It doesn’t end there.
In addition, the NY Times received $3.1 million in taxpayer funds, while the UK’s BBC received $3.2 million.
The legacy media are desperately trying to cover their arses. Conspiracy theory! shrieks the New Republic.
The far right, including Elon Musk, are pushing a conspiracy theory that the US Agency for International Development secretly funds several mainstream media outlets, including Politico, the Associated Press, and the New York Times.
Their chutzpah is almost admirable: they’re still lying right to our faces, when we have the receipts. Oh, and just as you might have suspected, a “New Republic Limited” received a handy $70,000 “small business loan” in 2020, “To aid small businesses in maintaining work force during Covid-19 pandemic”. Now, perhaps this “New Republic Limited” is nothing to do with the New Republic – maybe it’s all just a coincidence. The fact remains that TNR is openly lying about the US government funding left-wing media.
The BBC is also trying to cover its arse faster than you can say ‘Jimmy Savile’.
