As I reported recently, Barack Obama’s 60th birthday party was possibly the most ostentatious display of elite arrogance since the glory days of Versailles.
While ordinary Americans are vilified by the likes of Anthony Fauci for holding biker rallies in South Dakota, the Obamas are praised for surrounding themselves with “a sophisticated, vaccinated crowd”.
But, contrary to Fauci’s finger-wagging, there’s little evidence that the Sturgis, SD, motorcycle rally (the second held in defiance of Covid restrictions in other states) was a “superspreader event”; the Obamas’ orgy of elite onanism, on the other hand…
Mr. Obama celebrated his 60th birthday on Martha‘s Vineyard with many guests last Saturday […] Less than a week later, a report published Friday in The Daily Mail, a British tabloid, said that 74 people on Martha‘s Vineyard have tested positive for COVID-19 since the former president’s recent bash, “the most cases on the island since April.”
Obviously, the “tricky little virus” doesn’t take much care how sophisticated, or vaccinated, Obama’s clique of celebrity hangers-on are.
Hundreds of people were previously reported to have been invited to the event on Martha‘s Vineyard, an island south of Cape Cod where the Obamas bought property after his presidency ended.
Mr. Obama‘s party was greatly scaled back days before it happened over concerns about the nationwide spike in cases of COVID-19, the infectious respiratory disease the novel coronavirus causes, however.
Which is not exactly true. As photos show, the event attracted quite the crowd of un-masked elites. All that “scaled back” seems to really mean is that Obama ditched dozens of his closest allies and aides who’d greased his ascendancy to power, in favour of an ego-stroking roster of celebrities.
Of course, the one thing that Obama can still count on is having his arse covered by the mainstream media and petty officials.
The article quoted a local health official who said they were unaware of any new cases of COVID-19 “connected to the Obama party” and that it was still too early to say if any such infections might emerge[…]
The Daily Mail quoted Maury Valley, a health official for Tisbury, a town on Martha’s Vineyard, as saying local authorities were unaware of any COVID-19 cases connected to the Obama party as of Friday.
“It’s a little too early and the only way we’re going to know is through comprehensive contact tracing,” said the spokesperson, according to the article.

I’ve no doubt the media would show such cautious restraint should Donald Trump have thrown an ostentatious bash to celebrate himself at Mar-a-Lago.
But, of course, it’s only “deplorables” who spread the WuFlu, not “sophisticated, vaccinated” Obama-ites.
