One Nation Points Out the Obvious

‘Spot the Westerner’: cue leftist screeching.

Pauline Hanson has a way of saying aloud what other people are thinking, no matter how uncomfortable it makes the establishment and chattering left. Such as when she recently wore a burqa in the Senate (for the second time). Once again, the establishment thundered condemnation and the chatterers swooned and clutched their pearls, but ordinary Australians got it.

Now, One Nation has triggered the chatterers into screeching outrage by publicly saying what millions of other Australians are thinking: the Australian identity is being crushed by the weight of mass immigration. In doing so, she’s making them expose their own biases and prejudices.

A One Nation party official who filmed people on Melbourne’s streets claiming the city “doesn’t look like a Western nation at all” wants Australia to limit its intake of migrants from “non-culturally cohesive countries”.

Really setting off the howls of outrage was that Bianca Colecchia played a game Australians have been playing for decades: ‘Spot the Aussie’.

Ms Colecchia filmed strangers walking around Melbourne’s CBD on New Year’s Eve and asked viewers to “spot the Westerner” in her footage, which was posted online last month.

She said the handful of short clips of the crowd showed multiculturalism was a “failed concept”.

“Because no matter how individually they might be good people, it is a problem at the collective level,” she said […]

Ms Colecchia also published an article expanding on her concerns, criticising multiculturalism for pretending “all cultures are equal”.

“But they are simply not,” she said.

She said Australia must “limit the intake of migrants from non-culturally cohesive countries”.

She’s right on all counts of course. As I wrote recently, tribal division and imported hatreds are not bugs in the Multicultural programme: they’re features. At its heart is the ludicrous conceit of cultural relativism – the idea that all cultures are equal.

The reactions of the elite chatterers only serve to make her point.

Multicultural Affairs Minister Anne Aly said modern Australia was a place where everyone was “free to live without division, no matter their background”.

Ask Jewish Australians how ‘free’ they feel, thanks to Multiculturalism.

Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria chief executive Farah Farouque said the One Nation video was “utterly ridiculous”.

Note that both are Muslim: almost as if certain migrants groups are indeed wielding outsized power in captured institutions. But I’m sure that’s just a ‘far-right conspiracy theory’.

What’s definitely not a conspiracy theory is just how much the Multicult have to rely on lies and obfuscation to defend the indefensible.

Ms Farouque questioned what was in One Nation’s immigration policy and whether the party had considered serious issues, such as the important contributions of skilled migrants.

“Enter any busy hospital and see the global talent pool we rely on, any aged care setting, from home care to nursing homes, there’s that global talent pool,” she said.

This is the predictable lie of the Multicult – and it’s easily demolished.

“Skilled migrants”, for instance, make up just 12 per cent of the millions of migrants who’ve flooded Australia in the past few years. Even then, the definition of skilled is frankly ludicrous: actors, dancers and other entertainers, acupuncturists, amusement centre manager, art teacher, beauty therapist, boarding kennel or cattery operator… well, you get the picture, and we’re only up to the beginning of ‘B’.

The reason our aged care and other industries are dominated by new migrants is, firstly, because their jobs are heavily subsidised by the Australian taxpayer. Secondly, because employers in some industries are reluctant to employ Australians who’ll answer back and demand decent conditions.

And of course the Multicult can’t help giving away their own prejudice.

Democracy in Colour national director Noura Mansour said […] “I think it’s our responsibility to remind people that unless you’re First Nations, you’re a migrant on this land,” she said.

So, a foreigner from the same class of chatterers who insist that Ahmed-straight-off-the-boat is 100 per cent Aussie simultaneously feels entitled to tell sixth-generation Australian born people they’re “migrants” in their own land.

The Multicult’s prejudice and bias, not to mention outright lies, showed through, too, in the screeching that Colecchia is a “hypocrite”, because she is herself a migrant. The big lie here is that Colecchia specifically singled out Australia’s Western heritage and argued against “non-culturally cohesive countries”.

Another big lie is the claim that ‘until recently’ Italians were banned from migrating to Australia.

This is presumably a reference to the White Australia Policy (a Labor Party condition for supporting Federation, as it happens). Except the White Australia policy hasn’t existed for my entire lifetime, nor did it ever exclude Italians.

The Multicult are clearly feeling rattled.

Good.
