Remember When They Said This Wouldn’t Happen?

Remember when they said that allowing “transgender women” access to women’s private spaces wasn’t going to put women in danger? Ha, you stupid redneck conservative, it’s not as if men are going to start lurking in bathrooms and molesting little girls! What a stupid, paranoid conspiracy theory!

Cue, reality.

Los Angeles’ embattled progressive DA has admitted that the two-year prison sentence he ensured for a transgender woman who sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl may not have been enough.

To be fair “Hannah Tubbs” (real name, James Tubbs) didn’t identify as “transgender” yet, when he molested the girl.

Coincidentally, I’m sure, he only started identifying as a “woman” when he was caught. Because, you know, sexual predators — Tubbs has a lengthy, violent criminal record — never conveniently identify as women for sympathy, or anything.

Except that Tubbs is bragging about how “she” is getting away with it.

While in custody, Tubbs made crude and disparaging comments about the girl while boasting that she wouldn’t have to register as a sex offender now, KTTV reported, citing a recorded call to her father.

“Don’t worry about it,” Tubbs told her dad of the case. “It’s a strike, but they’re gonna plead, I’m going plead out to them and plead guilty.”

Tubbs then told her father she wouldn’t have to register as a sex offender, prompting a pause on the line, according to the call.

Thanks to [District Attorney George Gascón], Tubbs was being prosecuted in juvenile court, so she would not be put on the registry.

“So what are they going to do to you then?” Tubbs’ father asked.

“Nothin’,” she replied. “If there is a next time, I ever get in trouble, I’m leaving the state, I’m leaving the country. I ain’t staying.”

What a charmer.

Still “she” can thank “her” lucky stars that “she” committed the crime in a progressive, Democrat state.

She was sentenced last month to two years in a juvenile facility — after Gascón failed to file a motion to move the case into adult court.

Gascón’s decision caught the ire of the prosecutor in the case and Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, who said the judge’s “hands were tied” on sentencing because of the DA’s inaction.

Critics also blasted Gascón’s general policies, which have prevented prosecutors from seeking life sentences and filing cases against juvenile offenders in adult court.
