Do you remember that last summer we had a look at the northern hemisphere snow-mass graphs to watch the sad and utterly regrettable demise of snow as promised by the AGW/Climate Change alarmists?

Oh, wait, that’s not how it played out was it?  See here (January) and here (February) and here (March).

Well, it seems like the demise of snow may have to be postponed for another year, when the earth really does heat up and everything melts.

It is very early in the season and things can change, but at the latest reading the snow mass shown on the graph is 500Gt compared to the 30-year average (1982-2012) of around 200Gt at the same date.

Looking at it another way, the snow mass at 25 October is already equal to the expected mass on or about 8 November.

The BFD will report back, randomly, to see how the season goes.  (And, no – I have no idea what the random red dots are on the left-hand edge.)
