When a UN official accepts money from organisations that support terrorism, excuses antisemitic violence and is then protected by the system that should hold her accountable, we are witnessing something dangerous: the collapse of credibility in the international rules-based order.
New Zealanders deserve journalism that informs, not inflames. Democracy requires debate, not distortion. And moral clarity begins with naming evil where it lies.
And Hamas’ reward in all this? The senior Hamas leadership will be extradited from the ruins of Gaza to join their even more senior compatriots in Qatar.

If we’re going to play the sanctions game, let’s at least aim for consistency. Sanction the PFLP for its terror. Cut off UNRWA until it severs ties with Hamas. It’s much easier to target two Israeli ministers. Meanwhile, the US is watching...and they’re not amused.

If ‘never again’ is to mean anything, it must start with this: when a terrorist organisation says it wants to commit genocide, we must believe it. And then act accordingly.

This is not only intellectually dishonest – it is corrosive to New Zealand’s diverse and democratic fabric. We call on New Zealanders – especially those in leadership positions – to reject such partial narratives and demand a discourse grounded in facts, integrity, and universal human rights.
By removing the NGOs from the database, the UN effectively blacklisted them, undermining their ability to coordinate deliveries, access resources, and remain part of the broader aid framework. This is the gravest violation of the UN’s own humanitarian principles.
