On this day we remember those men who died young and now lie in another land And those who returned when this country had not yet been sold by the hidden hand And men who in '51 found they must fight once again for their share of the profits From the men who had stayed at home from the war and busily lined their pockets.Such men didn't fight for the corporate wealth or to bow to official demands They fought for the freedom to hold their heads high, free from the tyrant's commands We remember the men who fought in the war: those who suffered and those who are dead Such men would have laughed at the masks and the lies, but they died for your freedom instead. Now they lie in their graves eternally young; we have orders to leave them alone Thank the gods they cannot return to see what we've done to the land they called home.

Went the day well? We died and never knew. But well or ill, Freedom, we died for you.
