I met Peter through Scambusters, an organisation he had founded with others, to identify and shut down all manner of scamming activity. The early days of TradeMe were rather like the Wild West, with accounts being hacked and phoney auctions appearing. I was at a very low ebb after the breakdown of my marriage and I have never forgotten Peter’s kindness. Scambusters was a fun community and provided a much-needed public service at the time.
