I watched a lot of the protest yesterday via Stuff’s live feed. All very peaceful, which surprised me – I had expected some fight from the protesters as the Police pushed them around and pulled various people out.
We have the media doing a real beat up job on the protesters, with stories of spitting, assaulting the public, abusing bystanders and local businesses.
I don’t doubt there might have been some unruly behaviour as protests always seem to attract a diverse crowd, but the media also doesn’t tell the other side of the story – given the way the unvaxxed are treated by the general public, I am sure there would be a fair amount of abuse coming from them to instigate some retaliation.
