As part of our drive to keep our comment section the best in New Zealand we showcase each week an example of a top-notch comment that adds value to The BFD.
Today’s comment was written by idbkiwi Thank you idbkiwi for taking the time to craft such an interesting comment.
A personal note: I’m an early riser and do most of my cogitating before these winter dawns. If I belt out a comment it gets posted just before I fly out the door shortly after 7 am. I don’t normally re-engage with The BFD until the following evening, or next morning. This has disadvantages, one of them being that, if asked a direct question, I can’t repy in a timely manner and can seem, well: rude. In view of which I offer my apologies to commenter ‘Hobbes’ who, in response to my comment yesterday about the enormous number of women on the receiving end of vaccine injuries relative to the male of the species, asked a direct question: “Is this international or NZ? Can you tell me how to find it?”
I offer my belated reply. The figures I quoted (69.4% of adverse-events occur in women) are from NZ, but closely mirror results from other English-speaking countries, while the global database, called Vigiaccess, maintained by WHO also shows a very similar and unhappy bias in women carrying the largest burden of side-effects:

To find, and search, the NZ database go right to the very bottom of the page to find the download link:

Once downloaded click ‘Enable editing’ if you want to search in detail, then hit ‘Ctrl + F’ to enter your search terms and options. I hope that helps Hobbes, and anybody else interested in the dataset of 63,000+ adversely affected individuals and their (cumulative) 150,000+ side effects.
