Brexit architect Nigel Farage was shut off during his final speech in the European Parliament by furious EU bosses after branding the bloc “bullies” while his Brexit Party waved their Union flags.
The Brexit Party leader tore into the bloc as he unleashed his final tirade after 20 years as an MEP.
The comments provoked furious reactions from pro-European MEPs, who branded him a “liar”.
Tub-thumping Brexit Party members launched back at the politicians across the EU Parliament’s chamber in Brussels.
Amid cheers, Mr Farage’s microphone was cut-off by the parliamentary vice-president chairing the debate on the Brexit deal.
As they raised Union Jacks in protest, Mairead McGuinness said: “Sit down, put your flags away – you’re leaving – and take them with you.”
