Stuff Up of the day

Table of Contents

(Thursday 2nd Jan) there was an article on the Stuff site about an unexplained death. The last two paragraphs were:

By Thursday morning there was less activity as police finished examining the scene, looking for anything which could help their investigation.
A cordon was draped across an unmarked car in the driveway, with a trailer parked behind it, and a bouquet of flowers had been laid nearby.

Stuff

My Oxford Dictionary defines Cordon as:

1. A line or circle of Police, soldiers, or guards preventing access to or from a place.

2 A fruit tree trained to grow as a single stem.

3 An architgectural term for string course.”

I believe it would be somewhat difficult to drape a line of police across a car.
