The north island contingent of the New Zealand freedom convoy 2022 set off from the far north of New Zealand early yesterday (Sunday 6th February), and according to some reports was 25km in length by the time it reached Auckland in the late afternoon.

A separate convoy is simultaneously travelling up from the bottom of the south island of New Zealand, and both convoys will meet in the capital, Wellington, in several days time. The convoys are expected to build in size as they get closer to their destination.

Crowds waiting on the numerous Auckland motorway over bridges on a cloudy and humid Waitangi day afternoon, encountered overwhelming support from motorists even before the main convoy reached Auckland. Interspersed in the New Zealand flags were also some Canadian flags – in solidarity with the massive freedom truck convoy currently happening in Canada and being watched by millions around the world.

It was clear to everyone that the true level of support for freedom and the true level of opposition to the New Zealand government’s tyrannical, irrational, and damaging Covid-19 policies is starting to reveal itself – with even buses and trains tooting in support. It further emphasized the efforts the government and mainstream media have taken to try to keep the New Zealand public in the dark, not just about the unprecedented level of protesting going on around the world, but also the battle for freedom happening here.

When the main body of the convoy came through the atmosphere was electric – people knew they were witnessing something meaningful and historic. Unfortunately, I didn’t time the main body of the convoy, but it seemed to go on forever. For the 2 hours we were standing on the Omahu road bridge in Remuera, the horns, flashing headlights, and waving never stopped.

The video below shows part of the main body of the convoy as it moved through.
