The End of the Beginning of the Battle of the Bulges

Kemi Badenoch

Britain nearly got lucky, last year. Nearly.

Back in July 2022, when Britain’s ruling Conservatives were casting about for a replacement for the unlamented Boris Johnson, one name that stood out from the pack of CINOs and globalist toadies was Kemi Badenoch.

As I wrote back then:

If Badenoch succeeds in her bid for the Prime Minister’s office, it will be a shot in the arm, not just for the Conservative Party in Britain, but for conservatives across the Western world. Supposedly conservative parties, from Britain to the US, Australia and New Zealand are in deep crisis, not because their progressive opposites are winning the contest with spectacularly superior ideas, but because establishment “conservative” parties have abandoned anything remotely resembling conservative principles.

Of course, Badenoch did not win – but she did mark herself out as a rising conservative star to watch. As Minister for Women and Equalities, she’s quietly but steadily pushing back against the onslaught of transgender ideology. Especially in schools, where the gender whisperers are the footsoldiers for the rainbow groomers.

Teachers will be forced to tell parents that their child is questioning their gender even if the young person objects under new guidance for schools in England, the equalities minister has indicated.

Kemi Badenoch said that the guidance, which is expected to be published this week, will ensure that parents know what is “going on with their children” at school.

Which is, of course, the last thing the rainbow lobby want. Like all groomers, they prefer to operate under the cover of darkness. Naturally, groomer activists like Stonewall threw a right old tanty at the prospect of not being able to get their hooks into kids in secret.

So Badenoch hit right back, and ordered all government departments to withdraw from Stonewall’s controversial diversity champions scheme, which has been accused of spreading the idea that people can self-identify their gender.

She hasn’t stopped there, either.

The government is considering issuing guidance to single-sex schools in England saying that they cannot be legally obliged to take transgender pupils, as part of advice to be released this term […]

The advice, which is being drawn up by the education secretary, Gillian Keegan, and Kemi Badenoch, who holds the equalities portfolio, comes after the Girls’ Day School Trust said last year it would only admit pupils based on sex, rather than gender […]

The guidance is expected to say that schools would not be breaching the Equality Act 2010 if they did not accommodate transgender pupils, although no pupils would be required to leave a school if they started questioning their gender identity.

This would mean that girls’ schools would be able to reject applications from pupils who identify as female but whose legal sex is male, and vice versa for boys’ schools.

The latest salvo in Badenoch’s counter-offensive against the groomer army is a small but telling update to the UK Department for Education’s school census website. Under the Changes for 2023 to 2024 link, is a “new data item”.

Sex and gender identity

The gender current (N00065) data item has been replaced by the new sex (N00783) data item.

In other words, schools will have to register students by the indisputable biological fact of their sex, rather than a made-up ‘gender identity’.

The change from gender current to sex is being rolled out across all DfE collections over the next year or so. We will collect the sex data item (a value which identifies the sex of a person as recognised in law) on a mandatory basis.

The gender ID (N00784) data item has been created so schools, children’s homes, local authorities and other institutions can record gender identity for local use, should they wish to. We will not collect this data item.

The gender current (N00065) data item has been replaced by the new sex (N00783) data item.

These are small, but telling wins in the fight for sanity against the chickswithdickskrieg. It may not be the end of the Battle of the Bulges. It is not even the beginning of the end of transgender lunacy.

But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.
