In case the persecution of Israel Folau hasn’t made it clear enough, leftist politicians are beginning to state the obvious: Christianity is now classed as “hate”. The new state religion is rainbow “progressivism”. As comedian Dave Chappelle says, “You are never, ever, allowed to upset the alphabet people”.

It’s no coincidence that Western countries are the least racist or homophobic in the world: Western civilisation has been the greatest force for freedom in human history. Yet now the beneficiaries of that freedom are attacking one of the foundational texts of Western civilisation.

Sonia Hornery MP launched an extraordinary attack on a local church this week when the evangelism they’ve been doing most weekends for several years coincided with an LGBTIQAX+ Pride Festival. The state MP for Wallsend, just West of Newcastle, NSW, accused the church of “hate speech” because they were preaching the Gospel to people attending the festival.

To use a Biblical analogy, Hornery is one of those typical hypocrites who has to be seen to be blowing their little trumpet in the modern temple of rainbow “progressivism”, the odious exhibition known as a “Pride parade”.

Last weekend, Newcastle celebrated diversity at the Newcastle Pride Group Page Festival.

Unfortunately, members of a local church thought it appropriate to put out hate flyers targeting people attending the festival.

These flyers were handed out to people attending the Festival and placed all over cars parked nearby.

I understand everyone has different beliefs, views and ideas but we also don’t have the right to force these on other people.

I will be following this matter up further with a number of authorities.

The hypocrisy here is staggering. Hornery celebrates “diversity”, but only wants to allow one view to be heard. “Diversity”, like “inclusion”, doesn’t actually include Christians. Hornery the hypocrite claims that no one has the right to force their beliefs on others, even as she forces her beliefs on everyone.

According to Ps Charlie Haddad, his church’s routine is to “go where the people are,” indiscriminately attending any local crowd in public space. The printed tracts distributed listed no particular sins but described the universal decision available to all between Heaven or Hell.

So, they didn’t even specifically target the precious rainbow people. Even if they did, so what?

As Nick Nolte says, commenting on the bigoted people of all colours and faiths whom he’s encountered: I didn’t care. Hate’s a poison you take yourself. Your feelings and your beliefs are no skin off my nose.

Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me. Do you have any idea how liberating that expression is?
