For all their blatherskite about “kindness” and “inclusion”, the “progressive” left are about as kind and inclusive as a Dickensian beadle. But, more than anything, “progressives” most resemble C. S. Lewis’s apocryphal schoolboy’s God: “the sort of person who is always snooping around to see if anyone is enjoying himself and then trying to stop it”.
One leftist is pre-emptively making sure that kids aren’t going to have any kind of non-left-approved fun, this Christmas.
A Santa Claus left a little boy in tears after he scolded him for asking for a toy gun for Christmas.
“No, no guns,” he said in a video posted Monday after the boy said he wanted a gun. The boy’s mother then clarified the request, saying, “A Nerf gun.”
“Nope, not even a Nerf gun,” Santa replied in the video, which has been viewed more than 200,000 times.
“Nope. If your dad wants to get it for you, that’s fine, but I can’t bring it to you.”
He continued: “What else would you like? There’s lots of other toys. There’s Legos, there’s bicycles, there’s cars and trucks. What do you think?”
The boy then began to cry as his mother walked over to console him.
Oh, come on – Nerf guns are awesome fun. My kids and I used to have great fun, sniping each other around the house with them. The cap guns I had as a kid were even better.
But then, I grew up in less pussy-fied times, before the left ruined everything.
Comments on the video were generally critical, with Twitter users condemning the Santa and looking for more information on the boy so they could send him a toy gun.
“If you have a political itch, don’t scratch it by taking it out on children,” RedState’s Brandon Morse tweeted[…]
“Dude had one job & he couldn’t help himself,” another wrote.

In fairness, some questioned whether the Santa was being held to some “progressive” store policy.
No doubt helpful leftists will issue a “nice” list of left-approved toys for this Christmas. Hijab Barbie and Princess dress-ups for boys and My First Dildo and DIY puberty-blocker chemistry sets for girls. Not to mention Lil Antifa molotov cocktail kit (national flag of your choice included – made from only the finest highly flammable materials).

Santa Crowder made a special video call to the young lad and promised to fix Christmas for him.
A Nerf gun! That sounds like a wonderful gift! And that man told you no? Well, let me tell you: that’s not the real Santa. He’s what your parents will teach you about when we get older: he’s what we call a “communist”!
Santa Crowder finished by promising the boy that, “I think — I can’t make any promises! — but you’ll probably get just what you’re looking for, this Christmas”.
Most importantly, though, he reminded him, “When you see people down the street, be friendly! Show them a smile and say, ‘Merry Christmas, everyone!’”
