“He who smelt it, dealt it,” as we used to say in primary school. There is much wisdom in the mouths of even smutty schoolboys. The loudest accusers are often those with most guilt of their own to hide.
Especially when those accusers are Democrats.
As we’ve learned, not only were the charges of “Russian collusion” against former President Trump completely made up, the real collusion was on behalf of the Clinton campaign.
It turns out, though, that Clinton was far from the only leading Democrat colluding with the Russians — and certainly not the last.
[Senator Chuck Schumer], along with a number of other top Democrats, is a beneficiary of campaign contributions from top Democrat fundraiser Vincent Roberti whose lobbying firm was paid over $8.5 million by Nord Stream 2 which is owned by Putin’s state-run Gazprom energy monopoly.
Remember when Schumer was demanding sanctions against Russia? So were other top Democrats, including Nancy Pelosi. Suddenly, Schumer is refusing to hold a vote on Russia sanctions. As for drunk old Aunt Nancy…
Roberti plowed $46,100 into Pelosi’s Victory Fund. He also appears to have maxed out his contributions to the House Majority Leader and gave $5,000 to her PAC to the Future.
That’s not too shocking since Pelosi toasted Roberti and his wife at their wedding.
Senator Catherine Cortez Masto accused Trump of endangering national security. Senator Patty Murray demanded a special prosecutor into Trump’s non-existent “ties to Russia”. Then there’s Senator Richard Blumenthal, a truly Tricky Dick to the core. Back in the Trump era, Blumenthal was predicting “serious convictions and indictments”. He might want to be careful what he wishes for.

Murray, like Schumer and Mastro, got the maximum amount from the Nord Stream 2 lobbyist, along with Senator Maggie Hassan, who had also demanded a special prosecutor for Trump.
It doesn’t end there: the list of Democrats who screeched about Russian collusion while on the take from pro-Russia lobbyists just rolls on.
All the way up to the “big guy”…
The real lobbying effort to stop the Nord Stream 2 sanctions is coming out of the Biden White House with top associates of the notoriously corrupt politician pushing Senate Dems to let Putin have his pipeline. And that’s after Biden shut down the Keystone XL pipeline for America.
Biden falsely claimed that waiving sanctions on Putin’s pipeline was in “U.S. national interests.”
Roberti is a longtime Biden pal who boasts of having advised him on his 2008 presidential bid and reportedly flew him out to his hometown during the campaign.
Another Biden donor and lobbyist working for the foreign companies that partnered on Nord Stream 2 signed a check to Biden’s victory fund that Democrats refused to return until they were shamed into doing so by the New York Post.

And, just like that, the Democrats have fallen silent on “Russian collusion”. No more demands for special prosecutions or investigations.
It’s amazing how much silence a fistful of roubles can buy.
