The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But the Truth

vote voting ballot box

Information

Opinion

Once again I’m pleased to see my last article engendered some lively discussion with varying points of view being put forward. Isn’t this the beauty of the BFD!! Compare the BFD to the MSM where we are often fed the opposite of the headline to this article. The BFD is where you can express an opinion without fear or favour providing it is within the guidelines of common decency. Remember at the podium of odium, as it came to be known, where we were told it was the only place where we could get the truth. Ardern even managed to lie when talking about truth!

But I digress. It might surprise you to know that I am in agreement with a lot of the reservations expressed concerning Luxon and the National Party. I happen to think ACT in some areas is better than National but I don’t think they’re the perfect package either. You can vote for a newer smaller party but neither will they be the perfect package. You can argue they might be better than National or ACT but realistically they won’t be in a position to change the government.

THE TRUTH IS ONLY NATIONAL AND ACT CAN CHANGE THE GOVERNMENT.

I am well aware there is another party that has a habit of rising like a phoenix from the ashes just prior to each election and which at least one prominent person on this site is an unashamed fan – New Zealand First. I have to admit there is a side to Winston Peters that has appeal apart from that captivating smile. The problem is do you know what you are getting with Winston? Well, what we do know is there won’t be any of the Maori nonsense Willie Jackson and his ilk are trying to foist upon us. Unfortunately what we don’t know is what government we are going to get.

THE TRUTH IS ONLY NATIONAL AND ACT CAN CHANGE THE GOVERNMENT.

Someone in the discussion brought up the scenario of an election result of Labour plus the Greens with the Maori Party holding the balance of power. That is the stuff of which nightmares are made. Don’t bother moaning and whinging about the state the country is in now if you’re prepared to risk that outcome. It doesn’t bear thinking about. We’ll have Private Fraser’s words ringing in our ears. “We’re doomed, doomed I tell you, doomed.” Muriel Newman’s article from Thursday is a must read. If you’ve read that and still think a vote for a minor party is worth the risk then I say think again. Think of the destruction you might be causing to your country.

THE TRUTH IS ONLY NATIONAL AND ACT CAN CHANGE THE GOVERNMENT.

If you ever want confirmation that democracy is dying in this country read Muriel Newman’s piece. I’ll be honest I had no idea the half of what is going on. Democracy is being stolen from us at a frightening pace. Willie Jackson is right when he said democracy has changed. I just didn’t realise by how much. This country is being used by Ardern to further the United Nations agenda, not just on the rights of indigenous peoples but to advance that organisation’s brand of socialism on a global scale. A brand of socialism that has no part in a democratic country like New Zealand. This government simply must be voted out at the next election.

THE TRUTH IS ONLY NATIONAL AND ACT CAN CHANGE THE GOVERNMENT.

As Christie pointed out, there is no option but to see this government gone. If not, then the danger to this country, economically and socially, will be immense. It will descend into further divisiveness and lawlessness. It won’t be number 51, it will be 151st. Ardern doesn’t give a fig about this country or it’s people. We are simply pawns in her game, hostages to be used, playthings to be rorted, screwed and stomped on while she furthers her hideous agenda. Well, not for me baby. I can see what’s going on. I know exactly what her end game is and she can duck off and take it somewhere else. Ardern is not one of us.

THE TRUTH IS ONLY NATIONAL AND ACT CAN CHANGE THE GOVERNMENT.

What a lot of people on here want is what I, Christie and others want, and that is a true right-wing government. The truth is it ain’t going to happen – probably never again. The truth is in today’s political climate elections are won by capturing the middle ground. Even more so under MMP. If you want to whinge about that my friends, you’ll be whinging till kingdom come. In fact by that time the climate change doomsayers might be proven correct! The reality is we have to work with what we have got, which, I agree, often falls short of our expectations. At some point realism has to take over.

THE TRUTH IS ONLY NATIONAL AND ACT CAN CHANGE THE GOVERNMENT.

As far as I’m concerned I want this government gone with such ardour frankly I don’t care if Luxon IS Labour lightweight, middleweight or heavyweight, as long as he knocks out his opponent. Only by voting for a National/ACT coalition can that happen with any certainty. Ardern is on a dangerous mission. This country is being wrecked on the basis of an ideological premise which will continue to wreak havoc and do untold damage going forward. Ardern’s bunch of incapable numpties either can’t see it, don’t understand it or they believe in it. Personally, I think they do believe in it. It doesn’t matter. They have to go.

THE TRUTH IS ONLY NATIONAL AND ACT CAN CHANGE THE GOVERNMENT.

To end on a somewhat abrasive note – to say that National will be the same as or similar to Labour is just plain silly. Under National Three Waters will go, the Maori Health Authority will go and only today Paul Goldsmith announced National will repeal the gifting of seats to Ngai Tahu on Environment Canterbury. These, and there are others, are key areas of difference. I respectfully suggest you might consider voting for them.
