If you want to get a glimpse of the future of the West under Muslim immigration, there are few microcosms more telling than Hamtramck, Michigan. The city is one of the most densely Muslim in the US. And, boy, does it show.
This is the city that is 70 per cent Muslim, with an all-Muslim council, and a Muslim mayor. Islamic media hold it up as a poster-boy “Symbol of Islamic Identity in the US”.
They’re not wrong – just not right in a way they probably want you to notice.
Hamtramck made headlines recently when its all-Muslim council banned ‘Pride’ flags. Suddenly the ‘progressives’ who had celebrated the all-Muslim council were whining about “a sense of betrayal”, in the words of former Hamtramck mayor Karen Majewski. “We supported you when you were threatened and now our rights are threatened and you’re the one doing the threatening.”
Yes, you fatuous bint: what did you actually expect from Islam?
Another thing women in Hamtramck can expect is a good, ol’ Sharia-compliant black eye, if they mouth off like that again. Quite probably from their own former police chief.
Court records show that Hamtramck Police Chief Jamiel Altaheri personally engaged in a “pattern” of domestic violence in his own household, and told officers that wife-beating isn’t a “formal” crime.
And, to be fair, it isn’t under sharia. Instead, it’s openly sanctioned by Islamic scripture.
Altaheri is only too keen to follow the letter of Islamic scripture, as it turns out.
A whistleblower lawsuit on Islamic vote-rigging in Michigan also describes a “disturbing pattern of domestic violence from Altaheri”. This includes hitting and punching the mother of his child multiple times in 2024, as well as punching a man in the head in a Dearborn hookah lounge. He allegedly ordered responding officers to drop their investigations and let the local mosques handle it instead, where, of course, sharia was applied and, suddenly, wife-beating turned out not to be a crime after all.
Altaheri, who is of Yemeni descent, previously served as a New York police officer where he co-founded the NYPD Muslim Officers Society and the Yemeni American Law Enforcement Officers Association. He also headed the NYPD’s Office of Equity and Inclusion, where he led efforts to hire more Muslims on the force.
By which they mean stuffing the department with fellow Muslims. A pattern he repeated when he relocated to Michigan. He also allegedly instructed officers to “do things the Muslim way”.
And that you would think would preclude alcohol. But it seems Altaheri’s pious adherence to sharia is somewhat, shall we say, ‘situational’.
The investigation uncovered multiple incidents of Altaheri allegedly driving intoxicated in his city-issued truck. It details a time last September when he allegedly drove to and from a strip club with other officers.
Evidence also supported the allegations that the chief handed a loaded gun to a civilian volunteer and told her to put it to someone’s head.
The investigation also found at least five 911 calls to Altaheri’s home in the span of five months. In one of the calls, officers responded to a 911-hang up call with yelling in the background. The investigation found Altaheri then allegedly pressured the responding officers to lie on a police report to help him in a custody dispute.
According to the report, Althaheri allegedly recovered a stolen car for a friend without following proper protocol. He also allegedly directed an evidence technician to wipe his phone minutes after he was placed on leave.
All this, it might be pointed out, in just one year. Altaheri was chief for exactly one year before he was forced to resign following a damning misconduct investigation.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is the Muslim cop CBS News saluted as the “Officer of Peace”.
So, that’s what the ‘peaceful Muslim majority’ is like?
