1911  HMS Titanic is launched in Belfast
1985  Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) becomes a schedule 1 drug in the US
1916  “HMS New Zealand” fights in the battle of Jutland. Over 250 warships took part in the bloodiest battle of WW1. 1859  Big Ben, located atop St. Stephens Tower at The Houses of Parliament rings out for the first time.
1902  The Boer War ends with the signing of the Treaty of Vereeniging
