Music is a huge part of peoples lives even if we aren’t all music enthusiasts. Music is all around us in advertising, background noise in shops and on the streets. It’s inescapable when you have teenagers but for most of us, it is a huge part (if not a ritual) of our lives that we feel close to.

Today in 1968, Johnny Cash went to Folsom State Prison in California to record a live album. It was later released as “Live At Folsom Prison”.

Died today in 2016, manager and producer Giorgio Gomelsky. Owner of the Crawdaddy Club,he was involved in early management and promotion of The Rolling Stones who were the Crawdaddy house band at the time. He was also early manager and producer of The Yardbirds who replaced the Stones as the resident band.
