Truckers Say They’ll Cut NYC Off

Table of Contents

Get ready for an epic media and left-political meltdown over so-called “Nazi” and “White Supremacist” truckers. A year after rocking Canada and prompting a shockingly authoritarian crackdown by the Trudeau goverment and its media bootlickers, trucker protests may be about to bite into the Big Apple.

At issue is the blatantly anti-democratic weaponising of the American justice system against a former president.

Trump-supporting truckers are saying they are refusing to drive to New York City after the former president was slapped with a $355 million fine in his fraud case last week.

A conservative social media influencer and trucker who goes by Chicago Ray posted a video clip in which he claims that some of his colleagues are going to stop making deliveries to New York City to protest the ruling, issued in Manhattan Supreme court on Friday.

“I’ve been on the radio talking to drivers for about the past hour and I’ve talked to about ten drivers … and they’re going to start refusing loads to New York City starting on Monday,” Ray said in the video from inside his truck.

He said he’s already spoken to some drivers that work with him who told their boss they won’t go to The Big Apple.

“I don’t know how far across the country this is or how many truckers are going to start denying loads going to New York City, but I’ll tell you what — you f–k around and find out,” Ray said.

No doubt mindful of the vengeful punishment meted out by Trudeau against Canadian truckers and their supporters, including debanking and a Soviet-style smear campaign, Ray backtracked his involvement later in the day. He didn’t, he said, want to be seen as the head of a movement. Which, given the authoritarian turn of America under Joe Biden, is a very real fear.

Ray claimed that 95% of truckers support the former president in the X post, which has been viewed more than 4.6 million times and received more than 50,000 likes since Friday night.

Some voiced their support for the boycott online.

“Do it! Let us know how we can help! You’re NOT alone in this fight!” one user wrote in response.

And you can bet Homeland Security is monitoring every one of them.

At issue is the extraordinary pursuit of Donald Trump, with the all-too-obvious objective of trying to prevent him from running for election again.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron ordered that Trump pay a $355 million fine for inflated his net worth by billions over a decade to receive favorable loans from banks.

He’s additionally barred from serving as an officer or director of any company in New York for three years, the judge ruled.

Trump, like Chicago Ray, has blasted the case as “election interference” by his political opponents, and predicted other fall out for NYC, as he said at a rally Saturday that other businesses will leave the city after his ruling.

New York Post

A “police state” is defined as “a political unit characterized by repressive governmental control of political, economic, and social life usually by an arbitrary exercise of power by police”. Arbitrariness is key, here: police states typically pursue political opponents, while allowing the ruling elite to escape punishment for crimes.

Is there anything I missed?

Truckers potentially wield extraordinary clout. As Terry Pratchett pointed out, in his novel Night Watch, a big city is a complicated machine, and it needs constant input of everything from food to fuel to keep running. Block the merchant trains from getting in and within a few days the machine breaks down.

The trucking industry is an integral component of the supply chain, responsible for the transportation of a vast majority of goods, including medical supplies, food, and fuel. The potential boycott highlights the power that truckers hold. The absence of their services would lead to immediate and severe disruptions. Within just 24 hours, medical supplies could cease to be delivered, fuel shortages would emerge, and food shortages would begin to develop due to halted deliveries and subsequent consumer panic.

Should truckers follow through with their boycott, the ripple effects could be profound. Service stations might run out of fuel, manufacturing could face component shortages, and within a week, travel could cease due to fuel unavailability. Hospitals may begin to exhaust oxygen supplies, and within a month, the nation could face a severe clean water shortage.

Truth for the Commoner

So, you can bet that if the truckers do start to boycott NYC, the crackdown will be swift and brutal.
