Gone are the days when warfare was open for inspection. Today’s wars are fought in the shadows and in the cloud, both figuratively and literally using drones, so don’t expect reliable media coverage from the MSM.

When MSM exclaims “Trump wants war” they forget that Trump is already at war, and has been since before he took office, assaulted from the very moment he won the election.

“From the moment violent riots broke out in leftist strongholds after Trump emerged victorious in the November 2016 election, Democrats have plotted his impeachment and forced removal.

“Democrats are paving the way to impeach Donald Trump,” Vanity Fair reported Dec. 15, 2016 – before Trump was even inaugurated. Five days later, the resistance rag declared: “The evidence to impeach Donald Trump may already be here.”

Fox News

The Democrats said Trump’s considerable assets prevented him from providing impartial leadership because he and his children would benefit financially from his presidency. Impeachment was promised, despite Trump divesting himself of his assets and promising “no new deals” until divestment was complete.

“Normally we have politicians moving from political job to political job. In this case, we have a very successful businessman, who’s brilliant and a billionaire, who has assets and holdings all over the globe, and that needs to have a transfer of power through the proper channels,” she said on CNN.”

Kellyanne Conway, Senior Counsellor to Donald Trump 2016-2019

Democrats made media mileage out of the time required for Trump’s financial divestment but when grounds for impeachment disappeared the Democrats simply dreamed up their second reason, which was Trump’s apparent collusion with Russian hackers to win the 2016 US election. Democrats could not understand how Donald Trump could have won without Russian hacking, but they should have looked a little closer to home for the reason which was the war between Vladimir Putin and Hillary Clinton.

“Vladimir Putin has a visceral dislike of Clinton. As US secretary of state, Clinton was responsible for a doomed attempt to “reset” relations between Washington and Moscow.

In 2011-12, Russians took to the streets to protest against Putin’s decision to become president for the third time. Putin didn’t see this as a popular uprising; rather he believed Clinton had paid protesters to try to push him from power.

In the run-up to the US election, Russia’s state media portrayed Clinton as a warmonger. Its coverage of Donald Trump, by contrast, was favourable.

On Thursday, Barack Obama’s press secretary, Josh Earnest, said he shared the view of US intelligence officials that Putin had directly authorised the hack. (Putin’s press spokesman dismissed the claim as absurd.)”

The Guardian

Trump Russia collusion was a non-starter after a two-year investigation culminating in the Mueller Report which found no supporting evidence. However, the process uncovered the link between the Steele Report, the scurrilous document designed to bring down Trump, and the financiers of the report being the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

The third (but probably not final) attempt to impeach Trump is his alleged coercion of Ukraine into providing a damaging narrative about 2020 Democratic Party presidential primary candidate Joe Biden. Despite protests from the then-Ukrainian President-elect Volodimyr Zelenskiy, this plot backfired spectacularly when Trump released a rough transcript revealing the innocuous conversation and that Trump had actually recorded it. Needs must, but releasing this information was potentially damaging to Trump’s relationships with other world leaders who expect a high level of confidentiality and would, understandably, be nervous about this disclosure.

Not to be deterred by a lack of evidence, Nancy Pelosi charged on anyway and passed a motion in the House to impeach Trump but failed to lodge the documents with the Senate. Desperate times for the Democrats call for desperate means, however pathetic. Trump will not be impeached and the charlatan process has harmed the Democrats much more than it has helped them prepare for 2020.

Trump is unfairly presented as a warmonger after killing terrorist and Shiite militia leader Qassem Soleimani of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force, who was in Baghdad planning new attacks on Americans. The strike also killed Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy commander of Iran-backed militias known as the Popular Mobilization Forces, or PMF, and at least eight others. The attack was a precision drone attack requiring intel, possibly supplied by the Israelis.

“Mr Trump said: “We took action last night to stop a war, we did not take action to start a war.

“Soleimani made the death of innocent people his sick passion, contributing to terror plots as far away as New Delhi and London. His reign of terror is over.

He was plotting imminent and sinister attacks on American diplomats and and personnel but we caught him in the act and terminated him.”

The Telegraph

Sunni in Iraq and Iran took to the streets to celebrate Soleimani’s death but the Democrats and MSM lied about Trump’s reasons, reporting instead that Trump is intent on a war with Iran.

Iran’s ambassador to the UN tweeted: the killing of Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani “is an act of war.” Why then is Soleimani’s four decades of killing throughout the Middle East not considered acts of war?

Protestors were organised to rally outside Chuck Schumer’s apartment in New York saying, “we completely and totally oppose war with Iran.” Democrat Senators Sanders and Khanna say they will block funding for Trump to go to war with Iran and Democrat Sen. Chuck Schumer said Trump should have obtained Senate approval before starting a war with Iran. Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine has introduced a war powers resolution to cease hostilities with Iran until military actions are approved by Congress. Getting rid of Trump is more important to the Democrats than avoiding further terror attacks on American personnel in the Middle East.

“Trump did not brief the congressional leadership “Gang of Eight” — the heads of each party in the House and Senate, as well as the leaders of each party in the House and Senate Intelligence Committees — about the Soleimani attack in advance.

Trump did, however, brief Sen. Lindsey Graham, who was golfing with the president at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida in advance of the attack. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy was also with Trump at Mar-a-Lago during the attack Thursday.

McConnell said Friday that senators would receive a briefing on the strike next week.Earlier this year, both the House and the Senate passed a similar resolution that would have forced the United States to back away from a Saudi-led proxy war against Iran in Yemen. Trump vetoed the resolution, and there was not enough support — two-thirds in each chamber — to override the veto.”

Buzzfeed News

It is hardly surprising that Trump did not liaise with Congress before issuing strike orders, given the Democrats’ hostility and the uncertainty about the size of the window of opportunity for the strikes. Thankfully, Trump still holds support in the Senate, and with the Democrats behaving so badly they will gift him control of the House in 2020 as well.
