In a move that’s guaranteed to once again send Twitter’s tiny leftist echo chamber (80% of Twitter users are affluent millennials) into a shrieking meltdown, and his own supporters’ cheering, US President Donald Trump has announced a temporary suspension of all immigration into the United States.
Thanks to restrictions on border entries and flights already in place, immigration has largely been frozen anyway. But Trump is making it official – poking another stick into the cage of screaming, brain-damaged monkeys of the left.
Naturally, the Democrats immediately started flinging their faeces through the bars.
The decision drew swift condemnation from some Democrats, who accused the president of creating a distraction from what they view as a slow and faulty response to the coronavirus.
Between Trump’s own video compilation which he shoved in the faces of the legacy media last week, and Republican Dan Crenshaw’s masterful takedown of Bill Maher, every American who isn’t already screaming helplessly at the sky knows that that is a blatant lie. Trump’s response hasn’t been perfect – whose has? – but he has responded as best any US president could. Certainly better than the sainted-by-media Obama, who waited until 1,000 people died in the 2009 pandemic before acting.
More to the point, Trump’s actions have been a necessary pushback against the intransigence and stupidity of the House Democrats. For instance, his early moves to restrict flights from China were met with the usual screeching about ‘racism’. America’s worst-hit state, New York, can sheet its problems squarely home to the moronic goon, governor Andrew Cuomo.
Meanwhile, the twenty million-plus Americans rudely shoved into unemployment are surely going to be more impressed by a president who puts their jobs first. Certainly not Democrat leader Nancy Pelosi showing off her expensive refrigerators filled with her collection of fancy ice-cream to smarmy bargearse night-show host, James Cordon.
Trump said he was taking the action to protect the U.S. workforce. Millions of Americans are suffering unemployment after companies shed employees amid nationwide lockdowns to stop the contagion.
“In light of the attack from the Invisible Enemy, as well as the need to protect the jobs of our GREAT American Citizens, I will be signing an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States,” Trump said in a tweet.
Democrats – who last week were demanding that stimulus cheques be paid to illegal immigrants – are panicking about where they’re going to find wage-slaves to pick their fruit and clean their pools, now.
Who cares about steel-workers in Pennsylvania, Democrats and their wealthy voters have bigger problems. Such as how they’re going to find a cheap maid.
“It makes sense to protect opportunities for our workforce while this pandemic plays out,” said Thomas Homan, Trump’s former acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. “It’s really not about immigration. It’s about the pandemic and keeping our country safer while protecting opportunities for unemployed Americans.”
Of course, this is not just a welcome move to protect American jobs, it’s a smart political move. Like every other country in the Western world, everyday Americans have been alarmed by mass and often illegal immigration for decades – alarm which is not only ignored but roundly derided by the smirking elites of the left. With more than half an eye on November, Trump has thrown another political grenade into the fray.
Trump long ago learned what National in New Zealand and the Coalition in Australia just can’t seem to fathom: no matter what they do, they will never win over the elites and legacy media. Just grow a bit of mongrel and forge ahead and ignore the screeching ninnies. The quiet, everyday voters know who is on their side.
