When did ‘We don’t negotiate with terrorists’ become ‘ceasefire now’? As soon as the terrorists targeted Jews and a left-wing administration was in the White House, of course. There’s not been an administration so intent on mollifying violent Muslim extremists (oops, a triple tautology) since Barack Hussein Obama paraded a pro-Taliban traitor spouting the Koran in the Rose Garden.
But Joe Biden is a lame, brain-damaged duck, now, and everyone knows it. A new sheriff’s in town, and he not only carries a big stick, he talks very loudly about being ready to use to it.
US President-elect Donald Trump on Monday warned Gaza militants of massive repercussions if hostages are not released by the time he takes office.
The threat comes after exhaustive diplomacy by outgoing President Joe Biden’s administration that has so far failed to secure a deal that would both end Israel’s war in Gaza and free hostages seized 14 months ago.
‘Exhaustive diplomacy’, of course, means finger-wagging and hobbling Israel at every step, while throwing a pity-party for the scum of Gaza who danced in the streets when hostages and Jewish bodies were paraded, and rushed with their wheelbarrows to loot the blood-spattered homes of Kibbutz Be'eri.
Trump’s unequivocal ultimatum to the slime of Hamas is worth reading in full:
Everybody is talking about the hostages who are being held so violently, inhumanely, and against the will of the entire World, in the Middle East – But it’s all talk, and no action! Please let this TRUTH serve to represent that if the hostages are not released prior to January 20, 2025, the date that I proudly assume Office as President of the United States, there will be ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East, and for those in charge who perpetrated these atrocities against Humanity. Those responsible will be hit harder than anybody has been hit in the long and storied History of the United States of America. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW!
Naturally, the pearl-clutchers of the chattering left will witter than this is ‘un-diplomatic’ and against the ‘norms of the rules-based order’, but so what? Look where ‘normal’ diplomacy and the ‘rules-based order’ have led: the worst slaughter of Jews since WWII and a year of bloody war.
Mostly what the chatterers fail to grasp is that Trump is speaking just the right language for the fanatics of Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran to understand.
In the novel and recent hit movies, Dune, the sinister Bene Gesserit sisterhood practice what they call ‘The Voice’. By listening to their target, a practitioner learns exactly the right pitch and inflection that will make a subject obey without question.
When the Western political class talk to each other, they use the same empty gobbledegook they all learned at university, because that’s all they understand. But when they spout it at a jihadi, all the swivel-eyed swordsmen of the prophet hear is weakness.
Trump, long practiced at the art of persuasion, knows just how to speak to a chosen audience. When he promised Kim Jong-Un ‘fire and fury’, it was language the North Korean despot understood. He also quickly understood that Trump would not buy the same bullshit decades of previous presidents have.
The forces of Islamic terror are getting the same lesson.
Let’s see if they’re smart enough to learn it.
