It’s supposed to be a golden rule of international relations: don’t negotiate with terrorists. As a 2014 study showed, negotiating with terrorists only serves to reward their deplorable acts. Study author Jakana Thomas says governments should avoid legitimising violent groups.
Bugger all that, says the UN, as it rewards the world’s worst terrorist group for the most heinous attack on Jews since the Holocaust.
The UN General Assembly has upgraded the rights of the representative of Palestine by allowing the envoy a seat among member nations. The ambassador has observer status and has yet to be given full UN membership […]
Sitting among member states is among the rights for Palestine the General Assembly adopted in May under a resolution supporting Palestine’s full UN membership.
And, just like that, the UN legitimises terrorists and rewards the world’s worst for the horrors of October 7.
Although the UN’s pet Palestinian, Riyad Mansour, officially represents the West Bank, make no mistake who ‘Palestine’ really are: Hamas. Hamas is the far-preferred organisation of ‘Palestinians’, who also overwhelmingly approve of its atrocities. The same people who are still helping Hamas keep over 100 Jewish hostages (assuming it hasn’t already murdered them as it did the six hostages last week).
And the UN is rewarding them with a seat at the table.
The Israeli delegation criticized the upgraded rights for Palestine. It noted that Palestine, which has refrained from denouncing the mass murder and kidnapping that took place on October 7 in Israel, does not deserve upgrading.
Upon the resolution’s adoption, Foreign Minister Israel Katz called the decision a “prize for Hamas” in a statement after the vote. Katz said: “The absurd decision taken today at the UN General Assembly highlights the structural bias of the UN and the reasons why, under the leadership of UN Secretary-General [Antonio Guterres], it has turned itself into an irrelevant institution."
Still, it should surprise no one. After all, hundreds of Hamas members and supporters work for the UN’s own agencies. Dozens of UN employees took place in October 7 and Hamas still openly hides behind UN buildings.
Israel’s outgoing Ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, called his former place of employment “an unnecessary building,” and said that it should be “wiped off the face of earth” […]
“There is no place more corrupt and morally twisted than the UN,” Erdan said in the video.
Oh, come now – there’s still the Greens Party offices.
