The United States has taken a decisive step that should make every New Zealander question our health authorities’ continued endorsement of mRNA technology.
Robert F Kennedy Jr, as US Health Secretary, has cancelled 22 mRNA vaccine development contracts worth over $500 million as of 5 August 2025. His message was unambiguous: the science shows mRNA technology poses more risks than benefits.
Kennedy’s announcement wasn’t based on politics or ideology. It was based on hard science that New Zealand’s health authorities seem determined to ignore.
“mRNA vaccines don’t perform well against viruses that infect the upper respiratory tract,” Kennedy explained. “mRNA only codes for a small part of the viral proteins, usually a single antigen. One mutation and the vaccine becomes ineffective.”
This creates what scientists call “antigenic shift” – the vaccines actually encourage new mutations and can prolong pandemics. It’s the opposite of what we were promised.
Dr Steven Hatfill, HHS special adviser, was even more direct: “Meta-analysis studies came back consistently that there was no benefit to risk ratio for taking a messenger RNA vaccine. In fact, it was more dangerous to take a vaccine than it was to contract Covid-19 and be hospitalised with it.”
The US review found that mRNA technology creates “biochemical havoc” in cells. It disrupts protein metabolism, interferes with tumour suppressor genes, and damages mitochondria – the powerhouses of our cells.
These aren’t minor side effects. This is fundamental cellular damage that helps explain the explosion in turbo cancers, cardiac events, and neurological problems we’ve documented extensively.
The manufacturers, according to Hatfill, “did not do due diligence to ensure these were safe products before they were released onto the American market”.
NZDSOS has known about this for years. Pfizer executives admitted to the European Parliament that they never tested whether their product stopped transmission. They then sought to keep their clinical trial data hidden for 75 years, a shocking attempt to deny the public full transparency.

While America acknowledges the science and changes course, New Zealand remains trapped in a 2021 hermit nation mindset, isolated and out of step with global progress.
New Zealand has not made a definitive public statement on whether or not Covid jabs are still recommended for children and teenagers, while Australia and the US have stopped Covid-19 jabs for under-18s.
Our medical establishment still speaks about future mandates as if the last four years of evidence don’t exist. Three GP ‘leaders’ recently told the Covid Inquiry that mandates should remain “in the toolkit” for future pandemics.
These are the same people who ignored early treatment options, silenced dissenting doctors, and promoted a technology that has proven both ineffective and harmful.
The human cost of our authorities’ mistakes is staggering. Thousands of New Zealanders have suffered serious adverse events. Excess mortality remains elevated. Trust in the medical profession has been shattered.
Yet instead of acknowledging these failures, our health establishment doubles down. They attack doctors who ask questions and dismiss evidence that challenges their narrative.
This isn’t science. It’s ideology dressed up as medicine.
Without US government funding, mRNA technology companies will struggle to survive. The free market doesn’t reward products that don’t work and cause harm.
New Zealand taxpayers, however, continue funding this failed technology through our public health system. We’re paying for products that America’s own health authorities now admit are dangerous.
How long will we continue this madness?
What This Means for New Zealand
The US decision validates everything we’ve been saying since 2021. mRNA technology was rushed to market without proper safety testing and it doesn’t work as advertised. Remember the government’s ‘safe and effective’ narrative? The truth is this technology has caused serious harm.
Every day New Zealand delays following America’s lead is another day of unnecessary risk for our people.
Our health authorities have three choices:
- Acknowledge the science and withdraw mRNA recommendations
- Explain why they know better than America’s top scientists
- Continue ignoring evidence and hope nobody notices
Will New Zealanders accept the option chosen by the authorities?
This isn’t about being anti-vaccine. It’s about standing for safety, ethical science and the rights of every patient.
Good vaccines undergo years of rigorous testing. They’re proven safe and effective long before they reach the public. They don’t require mandates because people choose them freely and confidently.
mRNA technology fails every one of these tests.
The United States has had the courage to admit this mistake and change course. When will New Zealand find the courage to do the same?
