What can you tell us about this View from Your Window?
Yesterday’s photo was of the Colchis Fountain in Kutaisi Georgia.
Colchis was an ancient Black Sea kingdom in the area that is now the western part of Georgia. Colchis was the destination of Jason and the Argonauts in their search for the Golden Fleece. According to Greek mythology, the Golden Fleece was the fleece of a golden-wooled winged ram. In reality, there is a much simpler explanation. Colchis practised a very unique way of extracting gold using a sheep skin. Either by staking it in a mountain stream or by washing filtered river gravel over it. The gold particles would get captured by the wool.
** We need more photos please folks, so grab your camera or mobile phone and get snapping!
NOTE: We prefer photos to be from a window with preferably part of the window in the shot.
They do not have to be exotic locations. They can be the view from your kitchen window or bedroom window or lounge room window or car window on the way to work.
