What can you tell me about this photo?
Yesterday’s photo was taken halfway through the drop into “Goat’s Valley” east of Kai Iwi on route to Waverley SH3 west of Wanganui.
A lot of people think that “Goats Valley runs from the end of the Westmere straight (the blue marking) all the way just about into Maxwell.
It is in fact ONLY the red valley as marked.
BTW – when I was a youngster if I could stay in front of you till the end on that straight that was the last you would see of me! Road was all corners back then!
